Don't full yourself, this Chelsea side will kill us on the counter in Torino, Kalou is just enogh for this, they wont even play Anelka/Drogba in Turin, they ll play a 4-5-1 which will be impossible to break by our weak midfield
Play Trez, Iaquinta and Amauri up front and miss out midfield and just hope for the breaks off long balls, then. ;)

I don't think we played well at all. The only reason some may say so is because Chelsea were bad too, and allowed us to keep possession.

We definitely need to improve our game over the next couple of weeks. That's more important than getting maximum points in the league right now.

And I don't think we'll attack all that much in the home game. The key will be to not concede, get a goal in the first half, and then hope for a second (or let it go to extra time).

Let's hope Chiellini, Camoranesi, and Trezeguet can improve their form in the meantime.

Nedved was unlucky with the final shot of the match (which should have resulted in a late Juventus corner). If Alex did not block it then Nedved probably would have scored. Better and dominating performance in 2nd half but the divers held on.
Need to win return leg and hope for a better ref.
Pavel MOM a real fighter in the midfield but the defence was shaky despite drogba's near offside gol.

we went in the game with the wrong mentality i think, which is in the end ranieri's fault.

hopefully we can do it in torino, god all we need one goal then we can defend really i wouldnt mind it going to penalties chelsea are shit at penalties.

I think we have a mental block at this stage about playing English teams. Especially in England. We started poorly today, early goal. Reminiscent of that game vs Man Utd in the Delle Alpi a few years ago when Giggs scored early.

You have to give it to our supporters at Stamford Bridge today. 6000 Juve fans dominated the Chelsea stadium from the start to the end. :touched:
That too and imagine the atmosphere in Torino.

And look at Chelsea, when Drogba scored, did anyone go congratulate him? When Cech made that save on Amauri, did anyone cheer him?

Good you mentioned that. I thought no one noticed. Our fans really owned them.

Anyone who is proud of that performance needs a reality check as they seem to tolerate mediocrity. For this side to make any sort of impact in Europe then the likes of molinaro, legrottaglie, marchionni, sissoko etc have to be dropped in favor of quality. I am sorry but I had to dissect this side in my write up as they were piss poorhttp://www.footballclubsblog.com/2009/02/26/the-premiership-supremacy.html

so wait, you label Sissoko, yet give him one of the better ratings :shifty:
Benefit of the doubt really he tried, but obviously was strangled aint easy when you got ballack and obi on your heels and all you have is a brick all, maybe more solid assistance would have been better but for the sake of it he gets the benefit of the doubt. In simple words my expectations were greater for him but I sympathies due to how he was doubled or sometimes tripled on.
