So cruel. I thought the last shot went in :(
I believe many posts with "We played awful" will follow, but i feel we played well. As well as you can expect a team to play against Chelsea on their stadium. We went for the equaliser, we defended very well in the second half, we sent so many crosses inside the box, we had much more possession for the first time in CL this year, we even introduced the third attacker, but we were against a great defense.

Chelsea created one 100% chance and they took it. We didn't create such a chance (although Trez missed what he usually scores) and we couldn't score.

The result is awful though. Chelsea is 80% in the next round.
That's pretty much how I saw it.

Decent tactics, decent performance, good substitutions, but Chelsea were more clinical. No complaints from me.

And what the fuck is with the low ratings for Chiellini? His passing was poor, but he just kept one of the best strikers in the world quiet for a whole game (I don't think Chiellini was meant to be marking him for the goal), despite not being fully fit.

I wouldn't say Chelsea are 80% through, maybe 70-75%. We can still do it, but it will have to be more or less a perfect performance. It is possible: guys like Camo, Trez and Chiellini will have had another couple of games and will be fitter and sharper.

A lot has changed, Luca. We were a disaster in 2005 and 2006. Outplayed, outpaced, outmuscled, outscored and outeverything. This time it was a much differen't Juve than Capello's Juve. This was a better Juve.
I don't buy it. Those were better Liverpool and Arsenal sides, too.

Lets be realistic, they got their one real chance and they scored, thanks to Legro-Chiellini stupidity. We controlled the entire 2nd half and had we had wise players able to pass we would have surely score. Likes of Del Piero and Amauri don't need more than couple of chances to score.

We will attack them in Turin and you can imagine what we did in the 2nd half tonight but wont be in stamford bridge but there in Turin, home.

I didn't see any good performance to be honest, we were average, not awful but average. Tiago probably had the worst game this season, he was clueless. Molinaro, man seriously this is too much for a player like him, I mean to play in CL and against Chlesea?? Ok, I can bear him in Serie A, but please not in CL anymore. I don't agree with all of you about Legrotaglie, I think he was the most player who cleaned the ball, and not to the stands, he put it back right in the game. Melberg was very good, I hope Ranieri keeps using him there ahead of Grygera, he didn't go much offensively, that's because he knows that's not his job (Grygera should learn that). I also believe Camoranesi wasn't the worse of the players like you guys rated, sure he is not on his form but there were worse players than him.. Thou Marchionni did better than him a long with Marchisio who was much better than Tiago.

What i hated the most is to keep one of the best finishers in the world on the bench until 85th minute. FFS :disagree:

Alex and Amauri were not on their days, Nedved was good, but Giovinco should have played at the second half. Oh, btw were lucky that we escaped that Chiellini's penalty..

Finally, I rate Ranieri low for his mistakes, mostly for his subs (Leaving Giovinco out and not keeping Trez out all that long)..

    We lost nothing!

    Remember the 2003 and 2005

    FORZA JUVE
:agree: atleast we played well and had our decent chances infront of the goal. Those fuckers Inter we're playing in milano and their team is full with WC players and still they've sucked soooo bad.

So FORZA JUVE !!! thats what make us proud of this club.....

Chiellini's passing today was sooooooooo bad.Awful performance by Giorgio,he needs to step his game up.

He needs to step out of the game.
Chiellini is not a football player, if it werent for him Chelsea wouldnt have had any throw in today...

Juve had 3 players that were the problem today:

1- Chiellini, our youth that ever since he played for Juve, he's been a total loser...

And everytime he used to play for the youth Italy, they all thought he'd be the leader as he plays for the JUVENTUS, well all the team would be good and he would SUCK...

2- Nedved, he's been our problem for like 4 years? Just watch Ronaldinho in Inter VS Milan and you'll figure out how much do we need to replace Nedved with a player that can run with the ball FORWARD not BACKWARDS.

Even more, wanna laugh? Just notice that everytime his teammates were looking for him today and they pass the ball to him, they ALWAYS find the ball going back to them.

He just passes the ball back!

WOW, and he is our midfielder!

3- Molinaro: We really do miss Zambrotta, or even Zebina...

A real pitty... and do not forget our wise man: Ranieri. A very smart decision to introduce Trezeguet in the last 5 mins, very wise.

I really do miss the OLD Juve, the 2003 Juve...

i'm sad about the result but i am very disappointed with the way our team played. we really sucked balls today. poor sloppy passing, no rhythm or continuity in our mid-forward attack and no solidarity at the back

we were embarrassing ourselves on the field and i'm just glad that its 1-0, it should have been much worse
Seriously... this is the general level on this forum. Not only this guy. I have no idea what happend on your PlayStation the other night but in the real world we just had a decent game on away field to a strong Chelsea side enjoying the boost of Hiddink just arriving. The result is dissappointing seeing that the goal came of a rare piece of sloppy defending but the play out on the field was just dandy. We didn't set the world on fire but we went out there and had a tactically sound away game. Had Nedved scored on that last play you'd all be changing your coats as quick as usual.

People will highlight our technical deficiancies, which were there for all to see, but I felt the main thing lacking when we went behind was belief.

Chiellini doesn't even deserve 5. Not a single correct pass, 90% of Chelsea's counter attacks where thanks to Giorgio.

    Execution was what we needed.
    Absolutely.
We didn't have a 100% chance but we created some 4-5 half-chances and actually it's much more than i expected. We had many more shots than i expected, many more corner kicks than anyone expected. But we didn't do what we usually do, and that's executing our chances. We played against a much better defense than the defenses we face in serie A and we desperately needed efficiency.

We proved that overall we're not inferior to Chelsea. We still have chances to proceed but it's much tougher now.
Someone asked me if i still expect smthg big. Yes, i still do.

    Btw, Ribery :delpiero:
2 goals and 2 assists today.

I'm not sure what match people saw here. Chelsea could have easily had three goals from those other Drogba and Anelka efforts. We only had two good chances.
