Pfft, I reckon it would be quite close. Astori, Pinilla, Nainggolan, Cossu and Ibarbo would probably all start for them. Player for player is probably not the best comparison, as Celtic would play a lot on spirit and physicality.

It'd be a rough game, if tonight is anything to go by.

Cagliari have better CBs than Celtic as well IMO.

It would be close, I'm in agreement, but I still see Celtic edging it.

If Celtic was in Premier League or Serie A they would have 43 league titles like they do now. And Rangers would have 54. The 2 most successful clubs in the world along with Milan. True story.

Dude Celtic >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Juve so Celtic >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cagliari

Buffon - Forster
Barzagli - Ambrose
Bonucci - Wilson
Chiellini - Mulgrew
Lichtsteiner - Lustig
Vidal - Kayal
Pirlo - Wanyama
Marchisio - Brown
Asamoah - Ledley
Giovinco - Commons
Vucinic - Samaras

We could basically match you like for like, those Celtic players are all very similar styled to the Juventus ones except Pirlo and Wanyama are totally different, we had a Pirlo like player Ki but sold him but other than that those line ups if they were to play would be so similar to each other.
Look at all those high profile names, how I wish we could have such a strong XI like Celtic. Last night I woke up at 3am in a cold sweat after a horrible, terrifying dream of us losing to Celtic. I'm truly terrified of them, there is no way we could ever match a team with such amazing world class quality at every corner of the pitch. I mean, they even beat Barca ffs! Easily the greatest team ever who have never been beaten by anyone besides this Celtic team. We are in for a horrible couple of nights.

Look at them doubting Gigi. :sergio: It boggles my mind how seriously underrated Buffon is by much of the (non-Italian) footballing community. It's funny to see them talk up all these other keepers who probably worship the ground Buffon walks on.
No way. Forster will win more World Cups and CL trophies than Gigi ever will.

Celtic's big problem is consistency. The squad is full of very promising young players. And most of them tend to show up in big games.

Last game we played a 352 with Brown, Kayal and Wanyama as the CMs. All three are very physical, hard working ball chasers. Celtic can look extremely well organised and can prove hard to break down. Samaras (again on his day) can be very tricky for opposition defences as he is deceptively quick and can dribble his man (I have no idea how sometimes, though. I swear he's the luckiest player around! Charlie Mulgrew has emerged as a very solid defender as well as being very capable on set pieces, especially corners. Kelvin Wilson has had something of a Barzagli-sequence emergence as a defence-leading CB. Meanwhile, Ambrose is our version of Bonucci. He's looked very good at times but is still prone to a clanger every so often.

Meanwhile, Fraser Forster is the in form GK on these islands and if a chance falls to Hooper he'll bury it. This will be a very interesting and very tough game for both teams. Both MY teams
