After his last season at Dortmund and first two seasons at Pool I thought he was a good coach, but a one-trick pony as far as tactics go and that limited him. After watching him adapt his tactics superbly dependent on opponent in their 18-19 CL title run, changed my mind entirely. Absolute class manager. One of the very best. Last year was a mess for Pool, with finishing on 69 points, getting beat by a terrible Arsenal in two cups, Man U in another, and getting spanked by Real in CL quarters… but what him and his team are doing this year is brilliant. They look like the best team in football.

I think Pep is a very good coach. I think Klopp is a very good coach. I think Allegri is a very good coach.

It’s possible to not act like a complete retard and spend all your time shitting on one or the other, this or that coach. They are all top class coaches who have won a shit ton of trophies.

I thought he was a one-trick pony too. But I also do think that the quality of the top Europeans teams have been pretty meh this season.

I still believe Allegri is over the hill. I never agreed with the criticism of his style of play before he was fired, but I really do think our team declined even more with him this season.

He might be over the hill, but we probably won’t know this for sure until some time next season. He looked washed in his last year at Milan too. Ancelotti had a poor spell at Bayern and his Everton was pretty awful too despite spending big. Looks fantastic again this year. Same deal with Klopp in his last year at Dortmund and first year at Pool. Allegri may be done as a top level coach or he may turn it around next year. We shall have to wait and see I suppose.

Real Madrid basically go to Brazil every year and buy the best youth talent. It doesn't always work (Reinier) but I like how they integrate these players with their experienced pros. They also persevere with them, as both Vinicius and Rodrygo in particular have had difficult spells.

Well said, its so easy with hindsight. Madrid fans were shitting on Vinicius early on too. Kaio might be far from the talent or promise Vinicius has, but my point is for someone who put in decent and mature shifts here and there, and that had experience in Copa Libertadores, he was not given a run of games and consequently he was not given trust.
