With the qualification to the round of 16 of the #ChampionsLeague, #Juventus have secured almost €25mln that will be added to the initial 51mln for the participation in the competition and another 11.2mln bonus for the 4 victories that can increase in the next 2 games.

But I never compared him to Messi and Ronaldo? :shifty:

I said "he's an historic striker". Messi and Ronaldo aren't strikers and of course are they the two best players of this generation - maybe even of all time.

But Lewa is one of the best strikers of all time.
I never said you did, I'm just saying that his achievements will be overshadowed by Messi and Ronaldo unless Bayern can do something exceptional in CL. Bayern are 10 league titles in a row but many won't say that's a great achievement. Unfair as it sounds, it is what it is. Winning the golden ball would be historic.

I don't disagree with you.

But even if Lewa doesn't win the Ballon d'Or would he have achieved a great deal in his career.

The Golden Boot, CL topscorer and assists provider, (15 goals and 6 assists in only 10 games in the 19-20 season), FIFA World player of the year, UEFA player of the year, broke Gerd Müllers record etc.

And he still got some years to expand his individual achievements. Of course he won't be able to match Messi and Ronaldo, but no one will really.

But him reaching the 100 goal mark in the CL would be massive. Lets see if he can do it.

I'm old fashioned and try not to look at stats too much, for me great players don't need stats so Del Piero, Totti, Shevchenko, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Rui Costa, Nedved are players that I just loved watching. I also really appreciate the likes of Lahm who were exceptional in their positions. Even Ashley Cole at his peak was incredible.
