Zlatan, Nordahl, Liedholm, Laudrup brothers, Litmanen, Salah, Aubameyang, Weah, Oblak, Hagi, Skriniar, Koulibaly, Etoo, Drogba, Nedved, Boniek, and so on. Perhaps some would argue that some are from nations regularly producing WC players and how far up the echelon we are talking about. Looking at the Nordic countries, Henrik Larsson or Fredrik Ljungberg, for example, were great players but not on par with most of the aforementioned. Depends on time frame and other aspects too I suppose. That is kind of beside the point, the point is that yes, whereever you are from you can still make it. The road is perhaps more demanding for different reasons but still... Saying he is from Norway and therefore he will decline make no sense to me. Maybe he will score less eventually and be more like a regular WC striker because right now he has been from another planet for over a year. Btw., the list of Portuguese WC players is endless.

FIFA should definitely look into Haaland's transfer to Borussia Dortmund only being 20 mil. How the fuck is that possible? There just has to be one of either Bayern or Real Madrid behind that transfer doing aome shady shit. How? How was he sold for 20 mil? Its unbelievable.

That's why Mino has to be the best agent you can ask for as a player. He negotiated a new release clause when he signed a contract with Dortmund of just 75M. Meaning every penny teams are willing to pay above the release clause is a signing fee for his client or commission for him. Also makes it really easy to negotiate better contracts for his player when multiple teams can pay the clause and create bidding war for his salary.

He milked us dry with the Pogba transfer and will do the same with MDL at one point.

I think he means why did Salzburg let him go so cheaply? I'd guess that Raiola has some other coals in the fire to help out the Red Bull organisation in the future with players. Otherwise it makes little sense. They sold Mané for more 5 years previous, and Haaland was clearly a player destined for the top, going to a big team.

Edit: For Dortmund, yes they get a player cheaply but they also will probably lose him relatively cheaply with that fixed clause. For the player and his agent, the bigger buying club 3 years down the road will pay them a hefty signing fee, as @Gian mentions below.

Agents are finding more creative ways around regular transfer fee protocol.

Well, BVB's CEO said that the clause doesn't exist and that he has a contract until 2024.

I believe he said that for 2021 only? It is supposed to be active in summer 2022.

Remember that Juve also have a release clause of €150m active on De Ligt's contract from the same summer :scared:

While Dortmund is on the topic, I never understood why they didn't go for Hakimi. He was incredible there. How he ended up with the turds is beyond me but happy to see that Conte's obsessions are depriving his skills.
