That particular favoritism was due to Heysel tho.

That Scudetto priority really fucked us. We put the Scudetto siluette on our new logo too ffs. We never learn.
There is still time to turn around our 'philosophy' and aim for an approach geared towards winning in Europe. I mean you won 35 league titles, the next best is on 18. What better time than now ? Real Madrid in the last 20 years have won as many Champions league titles as league titles(6). If you date back to 20 years, the league title count gap between Barca and Madrid was huge. Barcelona in the same time frame have won 11 league titles. The gap is still huge.

Roma because it is good for Serie A. period. It's easy to hate them because they're our rivals, but its obviously good in the medium to long term if Serie A teams are competitive. It gives our league a lot of credibility because 1) We arguably should have been in the Semis, and we lost against the defending Champs. 2) Roma went through Chelsea, Atletico & Barcelona to get in the semis, and Roma are not considered an elite club. If they win the Champions League, if will will earn Serie A the respect it deserves.

I hope Roma make the final but not win it. If they make it to the final, there's going to be Euphoria all over Rome and they wouldnt bother if they lost the final because they will celebrate reaching an unexpected final for the rest of their lives. And the stadium construction will begin ASAP which is exactly what's needed from a Serie A AND Juve perspective

You'll notice that when Bayern won the CL and made semi's consistently, they were getting many favorable ref calls too. Its just become a money thing now. They want to push/favor the more 'attractive' and popular sides in CL because its good for ratings. Generally the best teams in every league get most of the 50-50 calls go their way like us in Italy, Bayern in Germany, United in England etc.

One downside for a team like us is we dont play the most attractive footy like the Spanish clubs do so there's that too as far as favoritism is concerned.

Thats not to say you cant win a CL when there's obvious bias but maybe sometimes protests like these help and put UEFA under more scrutiny. Its not just a one club thing now , its an entire nation protesting against the bias.
I think there is obvious bias in favour of Real and Barcelona
the referees do know that these players are divers yet no yellow or red cards are shown to them and their players behaviour towards the referee is more aggressive than Buffon behaviour

Thats the thing, they're not really our rivals no matter how you look at it.

Though, I know I wouldn't care too much of we won CL right after Buffon.

It's insane that people here would still prefer Madrid to win it over Roma. I'm sorry, but sports becomes meaningless when the conditions aren't the same for all competitors.

When Pep was here it was like that all the time, that we were expected to win everything with him, but always we came short at the end in CL. I like it this year where we are going a little more unnoticed.
I don't mind fans being optimistic within reason. Bayern Munich have merited their hype. Its not like Bayern are like Tottenham or Arsenal fans, were their fans are generally hyping themselves with no merit to back their claims.

I agree with Seven though, I generally cannot comprehend how anyone can support Real Madrid, after what just happened, I really cannot.

To be frank out of 4 remaining clubs. I would mind Roma to win it. They’d get some money they’d get stronger and it would be good for Serie A. After Roma I hope Bayern wins it. If it means to win it dirty against Real.
Liverpool and Real these two teams I hate with passion.

What really bugs me: why didnt we enjoy this kinda favoritism when we were the best team (1995-2000), when we had the best stars?
Not only that we didn't get help, but we were disadvantaged in the most important moments like 1997 final when we had 2 possible penalties(at 0-0 and 2-1) and the offside goal from mijatovic in 1998 for real madrid. We received help only in MU game in 1999 in sf, at 0-1 or 1-1 they had a clear penalty for handball, it was really obvious, but the referee didn't give it, the period we had few strange calls was 00-04 for example juve 2-0 newcastle, shearer scored a header and the goal was disallowed for absolutely nothing at all, there was no reason behind the decision, if i remember rightly milan had a correctly disallowed goal in like first half in 2003 final also, in 80s we were beaten by madrid on penalties but we should have won that too, there were mistakes in favour of real even then, in return leg for example on a counter 1 v 1 situation where juve scored and should have had 2-0 up , was given totally wrong offside as our player was 2m onside there wasn't even debatable. In 1983 in HSV game we could receive a penalty as gk rushed with hands on platini, but ref didn't give anything.

Real Madrid has been receiving help from referee since 1980
