So uhm, I guess it's going to be Real-Roma in the semis? I mean.. We know it will be.

Ugh. I can't even stand these draws anymore.

I think Real got a couple of calls against them against Bayern last season, but the return game sure made up for it.
3 offside goal for bayern last year..
And 3 red cards for us in the last 3 meetings.

Fucking madrid, not even barcelona got that much favor against us.

Fair point. And thats the only reason you'd not want teams like Pool to win it but i think our fortunes and reputation as a club depends on if we can win a CL more than other clubs winning it. PSG, City, Chelsea(to a lesser degree) have no European heritage, doesnt stop top players from joining them.
The best is obviously to win it, but being dwarfed even more so year after year does reduce our overall prestige and improve the one's that one upped. It's a constant change of dynamics

It doesn't stop them from joining those teams but they're not the last in the foodchain given their history, Barca, Real and Bayern will be more attractive as long as they're up there at the top. For Real Madrid and Barca even when they're not

But that's besides the point, a fan should care about how their club compare historically with the others because that's what's count. Doesn't mean that since we maybe won't win one soon that it'd be preferable to be dwarfed even more hard. In 50 years 2 CLs is going to be chump change.

I think that's from us spending huge on the 2012 season. But we usually have to sell to buy. So we're not like City or United.
Yeah, it's pretty much from 12-15 From 16 and onwards you've been quiet smart in your dealings; albeit Van Dijk being an insane overpaid transfer.

No-one spends like City / Utd. But Liverpool do throw about a lot of money on transfer fees. Let's not pretend they're frugal underdogs here. And their wages / turnover ratio at 69% is waaay above that of Utd, City, Spurs and Arsenal.

I don't think I said we are frugal underdogs.
We do sell players to balance the books. I think we do a pretty good job of that.

How can anyone want Real win ahead of Pool or the other 2.

Anyone but Real.

This is the problem. Real win it and noone remembers or talks how they got ref decisions prior to final. Not just now. They also scored offside against Bayern and Vidal sent off for dubious reasons. And there are plenty other examples. Dybala booked for diving. Real players not booked for diving. Dybala yellow for first foul in final. Real madrid players dirty tackling Mandzh and Pjanic to injurys no cards...

Im not some conspiry theorist but this is getting ridiculous now.

Anyone but Real! Hope Naingollan, Vidal or who ever plays for Pool breaks someones leg at Real. At least then the red would be legit.

We always beats Madrid. It is tradition.
Not this Real.

Prepare to see red card.

I want Real to draw Bayern, kick them out via another series of unfair calls and Germany to proceed kicking UEFA's butt, effectively confirming VAR next season and reforming the ref designation process. And Madrid wins the final, but no one cares.

That's what I mean. Best case scenario would be seeing the UEFA ridiculed so nobody respects the title and madrid anymore :beppe:
