I’ve been hearing this last 3-4 years every summer season, and nothing changes.

We havent faced PSG yet at all and we got thrashed so far arguably worse than they did by the same club. I am not so confident we are better than those clubs at the moment. What we do know is that on paper they have much superior squads to ours. We edge them only on collective experience.

Dont bring up our wins against city last season these were tight results and that was a much weaker City and we were a better team last year than now and even then we somehow finished second to them in the group.

I am not saying we are definitely weaker because I place a lot of value on experience in the CL. What I am saying is that they are much better on paper and may be better if we face them too we just never got the opportunity.

The only team winning it is City

I don't see them losing it unless they have a big drop in form

Liverpool are a potential bannanna skin for them but 9/10 times I expect City to advance against Liverpool

Love it. Just love it.

I can see that.

In the CL, if both teams are kept apart, it’s definitely going to be a Madrid - Barca final.

Would be such an easy Madrid win though.

Just saw a stat saying we have lost 25-8 on aggregate to Real, Bayern and Barca since our comeback to the CL

:lol2:

Also the only team to knock out Real and Barca in different seasons in the last 6-7 seasons

Atleti knocked out Barca twice but never Real

Just checked

Bayern Munich : 10-4 aggregate

(2012-13 : Bayern 2-0 Juve, Juve 0-2 Bayern(4-0)
2015-16 : Juve 2-2 Bayern, Bayern 4-2 Juve(10-4) )

Real Madrid : 13-6 aggregate

(2013-14 grps : Real 2-1 Juve, Juve 2-2 Real (4-3)
2014- 15 semi-final : Juve 2-1 Real, Real 1-1 Juve (6-6)
2016-17 final : Real 4-1 Juve(10-6)
2017-18 quarters : Juve 0-3 Real(13-6), game in hand)

Barca : 6-4 on aggregate

(2015 final : Barca 3-1 Juventus
2016-17 quarters : Juve 3-0 Barca , Barca 0-0 Juve(3-4)
2017-18 groups : Barca 3-0 Juve, Juve 0-0 Barca(6-4))

If we include our two victories against Real and Barca in the quarters , we have a total aggregate of 29-14 against the 3 elite clubs with almost the same defensive spine - Buffon/Barzagli/Bonucci/Chiellini etc

This is abnormal numbers for so called best defensive spine in the world.

In this decade, from 2010 onwards , Barca, Bayern, Dortmund and us.

Since 2013 though, we are the only team who have knocked them out.

Last year this time the record was 19-13, which would've told a different story if it stood.
Not only our old guard are getting old they appear to lose grinta and concentration too. Allegri doesn't help by playing Barzagli in ridiculously suicidal setups. I still can't believe he played him as RB vs Spurs in Wembley.

It's also a psychological thing. Chiellini and Buffon shat their pants when Ronaldo was closing them down. That caused a miscommunication that would have never happened in Serie A. That passage of play lead to CR7 scoring his bicycle goal.

Our old guard have mentally accepted defeat against these superclubs in big games. Bentancur looked the least scared out there.

Yes couldn't agree more, the quotes and dick sucking to RM and Ronaldo before the game show the belief was never there to begin with

The fact that a young 20 year old who was playing in the biggest game of his career showed more desire and courage than anyone else on the team shows the mentality from the leading players is wrong

When you're too nice in life you get walked over and that's exactly what Chiellini and Buffon had happen to them

Competition is dying (and football as a result), we get to see the same teams in the semis each seasons due to their financial means. UEFA should have implemented some regulations at some point. They're definitely at fault with their laxness.

I can see Juventus score 3 or more goals on Bernabeo. Real are missing Ramos and Nacho which means that Vallejo will need to fill the gap. Real are going to suffer if Juve play like they did in the first 60 minutes of the first leg. If Juve score early, the the tie is on. Nobody gave Juventus a chance after beeing 1-0 down on Wembley. And then experience showed up with Dybala and Higuian scoring twice leading Juve past Tottenham. This tie is far from over IMO.

Good joke

We are totally gone, Real can just play on the counter against us and pick us off easily since they don't need to score and we do

Ronaldo will be looking to set a new CL record as well for goals so he'll be hungry for more goals
