our resident PremLovers, how come Tottenham is doing so shite this season? 28 goals in 16 games, 50% winning record is pretty underwhelming for a team that finished 2nd last season with 86 points @Fred @ALC @Enron @Fresh
I haven't seen them play much. Only when they throttled us, but that was probably our worst performance of the year. They don't have much depth. They rely on a single player to score most of their goals. Same thing with creativity, it's Eriksen and Alli, if those guys don't perform, are injured, or run out of gas they;re in trouble.
As far as i know is calculated based on your performance during the past 5 seasons, each win/draw/qualification represents a number of points based on the competitions they play in.
To be more exact here is a quote about it:
The basis for the UEFA coefficients is the performance of teams in the European Cups during a five year period. During that period each team gets two points for a win and one point for a draw (see below for matches in qualifying rounds).
In addition one bonus point is allocated for reaching the quarter final, the semi final and the final. Qualification for the group-stage of the Champions League is awarded with 4 bonus points etc
So...first link rankings where Tottenham is above us is current season standings and the link where evidently we in Top 5 with a way better coefficient is the overall standings(which is the one that actually matters).
The autor of the tweet calls himself Bateseyboy and is "Obsessed with Spurs (Shelfside ST holder), my boy Charlie, my wife @LAU2312 & kebabs"
Also, if you look at the retweets, there are also mentions of Totti and Pirlo, Totti being overrated and Italian Le Tissier , and all three of them are basically sheit cause they chose to hide in a mediocre league all their career. One other jewel in the retweets is that he (the kebab lover) havent heard of Buffon, Pirlo and Totti until they were 35+ years old, and then suddenly everyone started worshipping them...
the ranking i posted is solely based on this year's performances. of all teams, tottenham had the most successful group stage with 5 wins and a single draw, so it's normal for them to top this year's rankings.
the ranking you posted is based on the last 5 years.

From the other side, we are a very different team than we were in 2015. It's hard to tell which side is stronger but the current Juventus is defo more experienced, more confident, and more unpredictable. The 2015 team was heavy reliant on Tevez and Pirlo was a big liability when we were countered. Now that we have fixed our defensive issues, it's hard to tell what our weaknesses are.
Our issue remains midfield, the defense was an issue due to midfield, and our midfield remains an issue due to our possession game and how out of touch it is with the attack. It doesn't help that our only reliable central midfielder in Pjanic decided to stink it up past weeks.
They tend to play 3-4-2-1, two wingbacks and the AMs pretty centralized with Kane doing all the scoring. It's not the wings what we should focus on mainly for them even if scores off plenty of crosses, but stopping Eriksens creativity and Delle Allis movement off the ball. Latter been pretty poor this season whenever I seen them.
Even many Bayern fans dislike him, because he often talk shit without knowing anything. He was one of the best midfielders ever and one of the greatest in Bayern, but damn he is a fool listening too often

What do you mean by saying our midfield remains an issue due to our possession game? That it is unable to keep possession? I remember in 2015 we were talking that even a perfect midfield cannot win you the CL if your front line is not elite. Obviously every team has weaknesses but we currently have in the middle of the park is not that bad. Pjanic, Marchisio, Khedira, Matuidi are all reliable players. Add Bentancur to that and we should be good. Compare that to what PSG has for example and still they are considered CL top favorite.
