I really don't have much of a preference. However, in a way I wouldn't mind Real Madrid. This is because when it comes to the final, Real Madrid seldom lose. Better to face them over 2 legs.

Out of the top 10 clubs in terms of trophies - we have by far the worst conversion rate - won only 2 out of 8 finals. Thats why its better to face Real madrid now - they lose a higher percentage of semi finals. While Atletico and Monaco have never won but have been in the final.

Anyway, stats are meant to be broken but you can see my point.

yeah, the draw will surely play a part in odds, but we'll still have to play 2 of the 3 teams to lift the trophy. I hope we don't draw Atletico, games against Monaco or Real should be way more watchable
Who the fuck cares about watchability :howler:

What's wrong with these losses? the first one was literally the first game of the season, an away leg in a tie that they ultimately won and the second one was a meaningless game where both teams fielded their B teams since nothing was at stake.
They lost the mickey mouse cup final, so what? they dominated PSG in both league games and are top of the table. You can't reduce a team's entire season to their worst performance.

I think they're huge underdogs against any of the 3 teams, but questioning their quality is just silly.
Agree mostly, it's basically cherry picking, if you reduce us to our games against Genoa & Fiorentina it looks pretty bad too.

The game against City is pretty damning though, clearly don't really have any sound defence. If we can manage to contain their attack somewhat and deny them space (and with Allegri I have little fear about that), we should be fine

Quite interesting that all 3 teams we might get have different characteristics, Atletico - strong defence, Monaco - strong offence, Real - balanced with quadrillion offensive players. Monaco seems to be an easier opponent compared to the others (even looking at the experience) and of course i hope we get them. They are not going to the final anyway i think, so it's always better to face them and then try our luck in the final if we get there, instead of facing 2 Madrid teams in a row. As someone wrote here earlier Monaco usually runs out of gas around 60', we could definitely take advantage of that.

I do, I'd rather face teams that want to play football, our group stage clashes with atletico 0:1 and 0:0 were frustrating as hell not only because we gained 1 point in 2 games, but also because the games were ugly af
Meh fuck that personally

Vincere non e importante and all that

@Osman Even if Atletico is a lot weaker as you said, they don't suit us in terms of style.
They don't but we clearly have better chance vs them then Real simply because they are inferior side. You should see them in LA Liga this season, choke Central.
