In fantasy football, players get points for a few simple stats: goals, assists, tackles, save, clean sheets, etc.

This team of the week lists the players with the most points this week. Therefore, it simply reflects who did best on a few stats, not who actually played best. Getting mad at this team selection is dumb af.

You're literally being mad at stats.

But it also means that this team says nothing about who played best, and unless you post it in a fantasy thread it has no relevance whatsoever. It's completely useless information here.

your point being? they're top of the table in ligue 1 with goal difference +63 while PSG have +46 (Juventus have +44 btw), their goal average in league is almost 3 goals per game, it's insane. sure they're inconsistent (like we haven't been this season), but, when on form, they're scary good upfront. The same Lyon side that we struggled against is 4th in Ligue 1, 23 points behind Monaco. Sure, we'd be favorites against Monaco, but I respect them as much as Atletico or Real, it won't be a walk in the park against any of the remaining 3 opponents.
I think that if we we were able to cope with MSN, we can have the confidence to cope with anything thrown at us.
What we need is to Higuain finally awaken and we are set

Because we're underdogs that slayed the most hated team. If we start becoming favourites every year or even win it this year, that will change.
Most likely. And that would not make me mad at all

MSN is a bit overrated though, especially the S and N part were amongst the worst performers against Juve

For all those that put Monaco high

Fenerbahce 2 : 1 Monaco
Monaco 3 : 1 Fenerbahce
Villarreal 1 : 2 Monaco
Monaco 1 : 0 Villarreal
Tottenham 1 : 2 Monaco
Monaco 1 : 1 Bayer Leverkusen
CSKA Moscow 1 : 1 Monaco
Monaco 3 : 0 CSKA Moscow
Monaco 2 : 1 Tottenham
Bayer Leverkusen 3 : 0 Monaco
Manchester City 5 : 3 Monaco

Monaco *3 : 1 Manchester City
Borussia Dortmund 2 : 3 Monaco
Monaco *3 : 1 Borussia Dortmund

AND THEY LOST 3-0 AGAINST PSG IN COPA :sergio:
What's wrong with these losses? the first one was literally the first game of the season, an away leg in a tie that they ultimately won and the second one was a meaningless game where both teams fielded their B teams since nothing was at stake.
They lost the mickey mouse cup final, so what? they dominated PSG in both league games and are top of the table. You can't reduce a team's entire season to their worst performance.

I think they're huge underdogs against any of the 3 teams, but questioning their quality is just silly.

Silly is saying that for a medium size team like Monaco losing a final against PSG is meaningless... Give me a break, please watch that game and see how PSG owned Monaco in every aspect of the game... Nonsense comments

and? please watch Juventus - Genoa and see how they owned Juve in every aspect of the game, surely Juventus are not that good

these losses happen over the course of the season even to the best of the teams, you can't win all games. Monaco have given plenty of reasons to respect their team, they're topping a league that is not far behind Serie A in quality while scoring absurd amount of goals. sure we have a good defense and it's nearly impossible to beat Buffon in CL, but I don't think Monaco is significantly weaker than Atletico.

In a final Monaco was 100%
Against Genoa we are at about 25% before we switch to energy conserving hibernation.

I know what you try to say, but juve is a poor example. We adjust our performance level to the quality of the opposition and the occasion

you're saying it was Allegri's plan all along to get crushed by Genoa away to conserve energy?

I'm talking about the game were we lost 3:1, conceding 3 in half an hour and completely crumbling in the first half. you really think we played at 25% that game and conserved energy?

if I'm not the smartest guy in the house, you must have the intelligence of a mushroom
