Why did Van Persie get a yellow card and consequently a red card for scoring after the referee whistled offside but Messi didn't when he scored that disallowed goal against us last week?

I cannot answer why because I don't know why the referees repeatedly influence CL games.
You find it hard to believe most people will like messi more than van persie? The bias us human

to some degree. UEFA does what it can to ensure their favorable outcome with draws and referee decisions if needed. but doesent always work when teams like Bayern 2013 come around
Thats a huge accusation and disrespectful to the competing teams, how would you feel if people discredited our last run to the CL final or our winning scudetti as just uefa pushing a narrative

I don't care for international football, the scandals never involved some mass officiating conspiracy, give me proof
Oh not this give me proof bs again.

2002 world cup was rigged. Go watch Ita-Korea and Spain-Korea.

Korea had 3 pens awarded in those games. Doesnt that alone seem suspicious. Spain had couple of goals disallowed. Italy has Totti sent off for some total bs reason.

Go watch those games replays and tell me that wasnt rigged.

Who were the hosts in 2002 again, Korea....

EDIT: i find it hard to believe someone who is 4th in world cup 2014 general talk thread posts total doesnt care about international football:

I know that the referees are human but these kinds of mistakes are being repeated year in year out. As for you wondering why do I keep watching the competition? I watch as long as Juve are still in, once they are out it all becomes too casual for me.

I think it would be naive to think football is clean but there isn't enough to say for sure there are conspiracies and fixed matches.

Maybe one day it will all come out you never know

South Korea Vs. Italy and Spain in 2002

Or Qatar 2022. You cant tell me you seriously believe Qatar was awarded a WC on merit
It could be anywhere from korea bribing them, to mafia, to coincidence.

Yeah, they did. The conspiracy to officiate the host of the tournament for bribes.

Yes but you don't believe it's fixed by uefa, that doesn't apply to you

its true though, Barcelona and Madrid are the publics favorite clubs and the ones that bring the most money, so you want them in the SF each year. we were a underdog in 2015 and managed to eliminate Madrid to prevent their ideal final, no idea why people would discredit that run

How naive can u be? GordoDeCentral

Fifa the organization decides the refs.

Just like Uefa has the control over the ref decisions.

Are you telling me some random ref took it upon himself to decide some call? Its in the interest of the organizers. Which both FIFA and UEFA are.

FIFA had their own reasons to make sure Korea got to semi final. It was the first time asian country hosted a major football event. The crowds were always packed for Korean games. So the success of own national team kept the interest up there and brought more money.

Likewise with uefa and barca-real. So end of the season we are all forgetting this and saying again how this or that team is so amazing and how can u not dislike real or barca and these generations of players and etc bs.

By FIFA and its head UEFA. Didn't you see the resignations?

If you are expecting a public trial of Dr. Evil - not gonna happen soon... So we either accept that nothing happened or that something happened, but it was driven by a faceless and nameless actor. Similar to the Bulgarian Police, who love to have a nationwide manhunt, but still keep any information about the targets strictly confidential.

Naive enough to expect you would actually answer that question, also you are welcome to search international football with my username to get my feelings about it
