It's clearly close. Again, only a nutter or a fanboy thinks it isn't. Messi is inferior in both scoring and assisting in the CL. End product. He's much better in getting involved in the build-up and creation of chances, but not enough to say he's in a whole different league. That's pure rubbish.

I wouldn't dislike Ronaldo so much if people didn't say he was better than Messi. Imo it's not a close comparison when you watch both players.

Stats may tell a different story and stats never lie but when it's obvious to see one is clearly superior in almost every department I struggle to see how anyone can see it any different.

I noticed it too, but i guess he means "we" like in "we the fans."
Exactly. From Juventus perspective that(Bayern getting shafted by Real, our subscribers) might be a great thing, but that much a fan of Juve I am not. Not to mention - imagine if we get the same refereeing? I'd prefer not to watch such a game as I value my health.

PS: Ronaldo is better than Messi. A lot better. He is probably on the same level as Maradona/Pele and could have been even better, but injuries took their tall. Cristiano Ronaldo is a different story - today he got 3 goals, 2 from offside tap-ins - thats the record holder he is. Numbers without substance.

I've never seen a player dominate teams like Messi does. C. Ronaldo isn't even the best Ronaldo yet people say he's up there with Messi.

Nah. The refs are instructed to favour attacking play now... It means teams that attack more like Real, Barca, Bayern (ironically) are generally going to benefit more from referee calls.
Whats interesting is the people who think the competition is somehow fixed yet keep watching it, masochistic much?
