Obviously the Bayern-Real game was decided by the combination of the pen miss and sending off. Bayern were clearly better side first half and if it had gone to 2:0 HT i dont think Real would have won. They might have got one away goal. Even with 10 men i think Bayern would have gotten at least a positive result if they had that 2 goal lead going into HT. But 2nd half Bayern totally collapsed even before the sending off. Vidal seems took that pen miss into heart and was terribly average. So were others. Then the red card happened and Bayern totally lost it. I have to say they have been very loyal with some of their players. Im surprised in general there isnt more criticism or pointing out their average age. I mean Ribery and Robben are pushing mid 30s now. Robben looked like he couldnt beat his man anymore. Müller hasnt been the same player since euro tbh already (his goal and stats this season in general havent been great). Obviously there are other older players like Lahm and Alonso who are retiring. Im not saying old is bad but they have been a bit too loyal maybe for these players now and they actually have some young promising talent in Renato Sanches. Mind you i think Lahm could play further. For defender 33 isnt old, he doesnt seem to have injury issues either. That would have been in our case like Barzagli retiring in 2014.

Bayern missed Lewa for sure, but maybe even more Hummels, i was surprised how leaky their defense was. I expected Carlo to make good tactical change after the sending off. That didnt really happen. They could have tried to hold the 1-1.

I'm heart broken. Losing again against the scum of Europe hurts so much. I can't understand what happened to Boateng, Alaba and Müller. They went from some of the best players on Earth to complete shit. I also resent our board for not getting adequate Robbery replacements early. The likes of Douglas Costa are not good enough, we should have gotten Alexis, KDB or even Di Maria when we could.

If we go out, I'll be rooting for Juve to take the CL. Juve or anyone else really, just not the white bastards.

I hope you guys face us in the finals and we smash you 5-0 Bonucci double, Chiello header and Marchisio and Stephan with stunners from out the box, all Vidal's exteammates. Vidal will cry. Then he comes back home.

However it seems unlikely, perhaps for the better Bayern is out, Madrid is our bitch and Pepe is out all season.
But Morata :scared:

Isnt Alexis available in the summer? And you are heavily linked, besides Juve.

Di Maria was terrible in camp nou. I dont think he is consistent enough big game player.

When Morata left he set a new standard on how you should behave after you leave Juventus, very classy guy. When Vidal left and said that he's finally at a big club I felt like puking. If Morata came back I'd celebrate for two weeks straight, if Vidal came back I'd expect a real apology first.

Please show a quote where he says he "finally" moved to a big club

You didn't expect me to quote 2 years old news word by word, did you? Anyways, here it is, it's pretty clear what he is trying to say:

"I’m very happy," he told the club’s website. “This is a new step in my career and I hope I do well here. I want to help the team and win trophies. It’s a dream come true for me personally.
“I wanted to take another big step forward in my career. I want to keep developing as a player and win important trophies like the Champions League. I think the best opportunity to do so is with Bayern.”

Yes but CL was holiday for Pogba. Now he is in working class manchester.
I really don't think this discussion belongs to CL thread, it's like going to Del Piero's thread and trying to start a discussion about pig farming, completely unrelated

A simple he didn't say it would have sufficed. A very bad habit, twisting people's words.

I don't agree that summarizing those 2 paragraphs into "I'm finally at a big club" is necessarily twisting people's words, definitely not the most precise quoting ever, but that's what I gathered from his comments when he left Juventus, that he's finally at a club that's big enough for him to develop his potential and win CL and Juventus was not that kind of [big] club for him. Good luck with that Arturo

With our fantastic history of winning cup finals I think I would rather we got Real in the semis and, if we can win, whoever is left in the final.

I mean if I had to watch a 5th lost CL final in row I would lose my mind.
