I'd like to know who they are and why. When Paul Merson himself says that in his playing days Harry Rednapp was better tactically than wenger you begin to wonder how he's even lasted this long at one club and would explain why he has won nothing major in years (not even talking about the fa cup)

long may it continue, they don't deserve any better
Who the fuck is Paul Merson?

Zach, how do you manage to sleep early if you go to the gym kinda late at night?

I always struggle to sleep early if I hit the gym at 10 pm.
I wanna know the answer to this.

Even ADL said Napoli are lucky not to have lost by 5 or 6. :lol2:

Also bashed Sarri for not rotating the squad and utilizing the new signings the club made for this season.
What new signings didnt he utilize? Actually two new signings and very young ones were both starting VS Real in midfield, Diawara was their best midfielder and it was ballsy of Sarri to bench a defensive hound dog in Allan for an attacking mid like Zielinski, I guess it was all about taking on Real offensively (I realize Zielinski has won starting spot in league too, but maybe biggiest game of your career requires some tweaking balance wise?).

If you're referring to him laughing towards the end of the game, that was because he was completely surprisee by Callejon's dummy. They were both joking about it.

And Marcelo is just Marcelo, he has these games.
No not the dummy one, another case where he fumbled a high ball like he couldnt give a fuck and laughed when it went to the opposition. No big deal, but it summarized his embarrassing performance for me.

It's a double edged sword. They need Zielinski to play the game they want to play, but they should know it can come back to haunt them.

He's been quite decent for them though, I understand the choice.

Your hate towards Belgian players is getting really old.

Offensively they had to get a goal. They did just that. Mertens, Insigne and Callejon performed their part of the deal.

I was praising the shit out of Meunier yesterday. How can you have possibly missed that ?
Not for his assist, but for shutting down Neymar, who was Barcelona's most lively player yesterday, all game long. He was amazingly good.

Napoli completely failed. Their tactical approach was completely wrong. Their forwards were asked far too much and their limitations showed.

Yeah, it was a bad game from him. Don't know what the fuck he was doing with that half cross half shot kind of thing either.

I'd still love to have him as an option on my team though.

A retarded drunk, makes as much sense as Jessica Simpson in a NASA symposium.

I don't know about boring. Imo, he looked much less influental to the team.
He is kinda boring to watch for most of the minutes in your average game, very clinical and in tune to punish at any time, litterally one of those you need to be 110% focused on at all times, but as said in general play he basically does anything for most part of games. Thats why it kinda suprises us he actually dribbled his opponents and then assisted a good goal. Usually he limits his decisiveness to outright predator supremacy (tho 14 goals so far is way too meagre for him).

Their tactical approach was flawed because Sarri only knows one approach. Napoli play possibly the best football in Italy when they're in possession, but that alone doesn't always get you results.

Other than the obvious lack of defensive organization (imo the only thing they can do well is press high and that's just because Callejon runs like a madman), they also lack quality defensively.

Oh, and you just hate players when they get praised by the media too much. I get that. But it doesn't change the fact that guys like Hazard and Mertens are really good players.

But not like this (hence the "another player could replace him and we'd see the same outcome")As I said to Seven earlier, I do believe Real looks more like a team this season. That could be another reason.

He's a moments player nowadays, today those moments were mostly positive.
Like the beginning of his career at United. But tonight, I just don't think he was that important.

Edit: He still scores a lot of goal. He's important in that way.

Napoli isnt first in the league, so they dont play the best football. I dont care they are good at killing shitty the relegation fuck with 14-0 scores. Its about results. That "great possession play" doesnt outscore the opponent enough.

Napoli failed hard. They asked their 3 forwards to operate isolated when somehow in a bazillion years, they get a pass into their feet (they cant controll shit unless its like that). Without backup the first 4 decades.

If you have Higuain or Cavani, thats just fine. If you have actual world class quick forwards, thats also fine. Napoli doesnt have players who can do that.

Then they expected to get past that midfield with quick flicks. Thats fine when you have players like Griezman (athletico liked to do that alot on counters, committing limited players but they could combine like lightning), or verratti who needs one glaze and half a touch to send a blind 40 meter pass onto cavani's third shoelace line.
Napoli cant do that. they fucked that up consistantly, cause they lack the ability to do so.

Sarri asked far to much from the players he has. They arent good enough.

He should play at their strenghts. Let them move much higher up the field, immediatly press forward wide down the wing and have Mertens and Hamsic move in the space it creates. There is alot of space to be abused

However, they didnt do that, madrid simply took the ball back each time, and their fullbacks could play like offensive wingers cause they had no need to cover behind them, as napoli never send the numbers which would actually make it a risk to do so.

Hazard is a player who requires good coaching. Which is why he sucks balls playing for belgium, but turns into worldclass when managed by an actual tactician, and not shitty the wilmots fuck.

Mertens is a nice quick forward. No need to overpraise him. Higuain would have done better and scores at least once.

Ugh. You're going on my ignore list for a while. I've had enough. I literally said in my second sentence that it doesn't always get you results. But rather than reading, you just go on yet another rant. The last of so so many. You're beyond help.

Mertens can't play #9 against big teams. Napoli got pressed and couldn't play it long to relieve pressure. Casemiro goal came straight from a press. Milik probably should have come in a bit earlier.
