all the contenders were in other groups.
napoli benfica besiktas dinamo kyiv
monaco leverkusen tottenham cska
leicester porto copenhagen brugge

sevilla could have won all of the above groups and lyon would have had a good chance of advancing in either of those. dinamo were probably the weakest team of the tournament with no goals scored, but with sevilla and lyon, we had a decent group.

Lets not be asshole douchefaggets and pretent we are allready a round futher, whilst we complain great lenghts if our players arent fully motivated
Excuse me but I meant that as far as possible there are no draws with two top teams. There is one but it was mathematically impossible to avoid that.

UEFA puts us up way higher than Napoli in their estimations which is a nice feeling.

The point is that we are nowhere yet. Two games, alot of stuff can happen.

Porto is great at home, and would have kicked out Guardiola's bayern two years ago if Danilo and Alex Sandro didnt went like "roflmao lets get a useless yellow and get suspended in the return".

Whats so funny? Easiest is always subjective (Group G might actually win lol) but you cannot possibly say Sevilla, Lyon and Zagreb are teams we should be having much trouble against? None of those teams challenge for anything farther than the round of 16 really, all the contenders were in other groups.

The draw wasnt bad but to say we are already in quarters is stupid. Porto is quite strong, its still a lot of time till we play and anything can happen.
Anyway its good that we got team from tier below which cant park the bus like some other ones (Sevilla for example).

I'm not talking about Porto, I'm talking about UEFA and the draw in general. Anyway I look forward to seeing us play in Portugal and hope that we fuck them hard.

I'd also like to point out that I don't take anything for granted in the CL. I was raised as a Celtic supporter looking up at richer teams, and now as a Juve fan I have been through the frozen turkish fiasco, the last minute Coman cross and Bayern handing Conte his first ever defeat as manager. Nothing is done until it's done - of course I know that.

Celtic also repeatedly (well, whenever we get to the CL :lol:) get drawn against Barcelona and in the past we often got Man Utd, Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk.

The local conspiracy theory is that Celtic are possibly the only 4th seed who could guarantee a packed Nou Camp :boh:

Sevilla was one of the easiest ''number 2s'' we could get, while Lyon really should've never poised a problem. The point of my post was really to emphasize what kind of luck we had this year compared to last. But I agree, Group G is probably easier. I change my statement that we had the second or third easiest group: doesn't really change anything though.

Arsenal ::lol3::

PSG ::lol3::

Looking at the pairings, this is gonna be a tough year to win the CL.

No EL team parings, bar Sevilla vs. Leicester. Weak teams should be gone in the next round.

I'd rather have been in the Leicester group for example. That must have been the worst group in many years. Also, the Monaco/Leverkusen group was imo worse.
