I am glad Napoli is achieving stability to be honest. Finishing top 3 is becoming their norm which is good for Serie A especially that they have some character in europe unlike Roma. They have found a functioning system and structure. Roma is almost there. Inter has the potential this year while Milan is hopeless.

They've managed to get very lucky in the draw and avoid having a single team from a top 5 league (Spain, Germany, England, Italy, France) in their group. As soon as they come up against a "good" team, their defensive deficiencies will be exposed badly. Benfica should have scored 2 goals in the first 15 minutes today, before Napoli turned on the jets and crushed them going forward. Napoli won't be so lucky against better teams with more prolific finishers, nor will they be able to take the game to those teams.

They have a weak defense that is true but they are much better than Roma in Europe. Roma has a mental problem that they don't have. Ofcourse if they had a heavy weight in their group they wouldn't finish first but they wont just bendover like Roma does. You could see that in their appearances in the group of death in previous years where they narrowly missed out on qualification in a very tough group.

Their defense can get better over the course of the season they werent that leaky last year.
