To be fair to PSG, Ospina gave a fantastic performance today. And he's a keeper I consider average. But today he did several very good interceptions and organised his defence very well.

Also, the system of PSG was quite weird. 4 CMs and Matuidi playing somewhere high in the left. The attack and the midfield were not connecting very well and Cavani had to come deep on several occasions to collect the ball. That was a weird formation by Emery. I guess he tried to control the midfield but ended up having the possession, doing short passes and not being able to feed properly the attack.

They dominated the shit out of Arsenal so midfield was fine surely. How did they fail to feed the attack? Their attack got like a dozen of good chances to score.

Emery opted for matuidi because his fallen out with Ben arfa as he doesn't work hard enough. I kind of understand Emery's formation and way of thinking but cavani should have finished atleast one of the four or five good chances he had. Credit to marquinhos today his looking like a right leader. It was an entertaining game. Psg deserved more but only have themselves to blame.

On the note of blame, I wonder how benfica must be feeling tonight after their player talisca scores past them in the last minute lol

I was thinking of that today when seeing Matuidi trying to act like an left winger. How handy would have Ben Arfa been today in that left spot. The guy is a prick but he's a good player. They could have Di Maria attacking from the right and Ben Arfa from the left making their attack more unpredictable. Until Pastore came in, the only player trying to connect their midfield and attack was Di Maria and Verratti's long balls.

They dominated the possession, which is natural when you have 4 CMs playing against 2 one of which is a dwarf called Cazorla, but all they did was side passes, waiting for a long ball by Verratti to one of their wing-backs (mainly Aurier). A lot of times Cavani came back to collect the ball. A lot of the attacking efforts came by Arsenal's mistakes. And a lot of times Matuidi tried to attack from the left using mainly brute force. The only connecting link was Di Maria, who I think had orders to play more as a partner to Cavani and who the Arsenal defenders had figured out and double marked. Am I the only one who saw a very badly linked midfield and attack until Pastore came in?

As someone who is Scottish and doesn't support either, I can confirm they're both absolute scum, and The Rangers may actually be worse.

I may be being charitable to Celtic though, since I bet on them to lose 7-0 tonight.

Honestly, apart from their finishing PSG played a perfect game. Btw, I think they've been building a great squad for years now. Too bad they always choke in the CL.

I didn't like that PSG at all, I thought they were very soft. Arsenal was an easy target out there for any really good team.

But they have one spectacular CM in Verratti, who can bring the creativity and the setting up, and a difference maker upfront in Di Maria.

Also, their two fullbacks are VERY good (the Ivorian at the right, and Kurzawa who didnt play I dont know why). The fullback position is overlooked as it is of fundamental importance nowadays to bring together a top flight team. Without at least one fullback who can be a constant present in offense (better if both can be), it's hard to be dominant. And from what I've seen, Kurzawa is on his way to become a top LB in the world.

They also have Marquinhos who is an excellent defender. That's 5 excellent players out there: Marquinhos, Kurzawa, Aurier, Verratti, Di Maria.

However, the rest look pretty ordinary to me. TS looks like a normal player right now, and they lack midfielders who can offer any offense apart from Verratti. Lucas is overrated (classic case of skilled and athletic footballer who has very low IQ), as is Pastore (one of the softest players I've ever seen), Cavani looks like shit for a couple of years, that Jese guy is inconstant as hell.

They simply have a soft DNA.

Because the notion that Cavani is a human beeing that had a surprise offday, is too much to handle. So those 5 billion chances that Verratti and co were producing, was pathetic and not enough.
