You have to really question a players mentality when they have such a drop like Cavani has had

It looks like he just got his big move and fat contract and stopped trying to improve or even maintain the level he was at.

How does that change the fact that he's not even half the player he used to be?

His drop since moving to PSG is shocking and would be a gamble for any team.
considering he was played out of position whenever zlatan played will explain that.

Not that I watched the psg game, but flashscore suggested that matuidi played left wing tonight? srsly?

Playing on the wing or not with Zlatan still shouldn't be an excuse to miss chances he would put away at Napoli with his eyes closed.

He was world class at Napoli but that Cavani has long been gone

Exactly. So Cavani had bad day. Are we a joke if Higuain fails to score yet creates a ton of chances?

PSG was BY FAR the better team today. Should have won.
Yes, only because Arsenal are worse. I doubt these two teams will go further than the R16 with a normal draw.

Considering the standard they set in the last years, quality wise and with the showing they gave us, PSG were bad (don't be mad :D).

Us having an off day would be better quality wise than the level we saw today by both teams

To be fair to PSG, Ospina gave a fantastic performance today. And he's a keeper I consider average. But today he did several very good interceptions and organised his defence very well.

Also, the system of PSG was quite weird. 4 CMs and Matuidi playing somewhere high in the left. The attack and the midfield were not connecting very well and Cavani had to come deep on several occasions to collect the ball. That was a weird formation by Emery. I guess he tried to control the midfield but ended up having the possession, doing short passes and not being able to feed properly the attack.

Wenger is a tool though, resting Cech in a crucial CL game, just like he did last season. Expect him to whine and cry again when Arsenal finish second and face Barca or Bayern in the next round.

Emery opted for matuidi because his fallen out with Ben arfa as he doesn't work hard enough. I kind of understand Emery's formation and way of thinking but cavani should have finished atleast one of the four or five good chances he had. Credit to marquinhos today his looking like a right leader. It was an entertaining game. Psg deserved more but only have themselves to blame.

On the note of blame, I wonder how benfica must be feeling tonight after their player talisca scores past them in the last minute lol

Ospina saved Arsenal today. Decision to start him was one of the few things he got right.
