The way the news are flying everywhere is very very ugly. There is no wrong in testing gender (it's not that they are doing it for nothing, I mean it happened before, and from her tests they got weird results).

The way it is being investigated is very very ugly, I wish if they have done it privately, we don't really know how it started thou. But still, it's very sad what she is living, it should have been done privately..
I agree.

anyway look at this:

No, it does. That's what you don't understand and I guess it's excusable because you've never a minority (racial).
So tell me about it.

You don't necessarily need to experience something when you want to talk about it. Do you really need to get raped if you want to speak of it? It sure gives you a better knowledge about the matter but it also can make you aggressive, easily offended thus biased in your judgements.

But that doesn't mean she is treated this way because she is black, this could be something to do with nationalism maybe, or her being from a poor country, Asian, African, East Europeans or other small countries face these treatments most of the time. We see it everywhere, in football and all other sports..

If it happened with some Arabic athlete, he will think/say this happening because he is a Muslim. Small/third world countries will always get this treatments, it has to do with power and sometimes politics. But racism comes the last thing to mind.

After all, so far they are proven they have the right to investigate, no matter how it will result in the end, they proved already that there are things abnormal..

Actually you do need to be a rape victim to truly feel the pain of it; both the physical & the emotional. We can only imagine it but we really don't even know half of it. You don't need to be a man to know that it hurts to be hit in the balls but you really do need to be a man to know what the pain is like.

So you're saying this would have happened, and happened in the same manner and same same way if she was a white South African?

It's absolutely true but I'm not talking about "feeling" Tahir. I'm talking about "speaking of" something you haven't experienced. Still, when I put myself in a rape victim's place I can feel him/her pain (of course not even close to what she feels herself) but I put myself in this girl's place and I don't get why she should feel insulted. I'm failed to understand how it is a matter of race.

Yeah! And if she reacted the same exact way.
See I'm not so sure about that.

did you pray while arguing? :D
Na, I took a break to go do that. Didn't bother going offline though :D

Well, I've failed to explain it to you then. My apologies.

I asked you how it was a matter of race and you talked about the second part of my post, that I wouldn't feel the real pain of a man who's hit in his balls. I said I wouldn't but still, I don't necessarily need to be a victim if I want to "talk" about it. You did not explain anything I'm afraid.

This is why I said being a victim could make you partly aggressive and biased on your judgements. This is why I can't see ONE post throughout these eight pages in which someone is explaining how Semnaya's case is a matter of race.

Sure. It's easier to accuse a black South African than say a white Austrian.
That's great. Now name me one white female athlete who looks as masculine as Semenya and has got the same testosterone level.

If she was not tested, then you can say it's about race. Remember, all I ask is ONE white female athlete.

Let him talk. He's going in sophistic circles. This is not about "feeling". Racism doesn't start with the recipient being insulted, it starts with the guy who wants to insult. "Feeling" is not enough to say it's racism. I "feel" racism from you too, Ze, you must be racist.

Truth of the matter is that he wants to be insulted. He wants it to be racism. It's like some Jews can reduce everything to the Holocaust. The funny thing is that, again, Ze claims there's no such thing as racism against white men. Well.. there are quite a few examples that say the contrary. But this notion is embedded in his way of thinking. There can't be racism against white men.

It's weird, because this reenforces the idea of the white man as superior, which is something I would not want to do.

Being called names because of our nationality, gender, religion, race, color, etc has made us too sensitive. Many times we feel insulted even though there's no reason for it. I haven't lived as a racial minority but I'm a woman and women are in minority in Iran. Many times in Iran, when a woman is being treated unjustly, women start complaining about how the sexist society of Iran is oppressing women however in fact, there are many men at the same time who are just treated in the same way. Being tyrannized by men for thousands of years, we, women, are sensitive enough to see everything wrong against us as a sexist matter.

Now if someone says that Eto'o looks like a monkey, everyone will agree on him making a racist remark but had he said the same about Rooney, no one would have even cared.

We are irritable about some traits of ours for which we've been treated differently all the time. It makes us react aggressively even when we're not getting insulted because of those specific characteristics.

But there is virtually no indication that this is about racism. I mean, you have one female athlete who looks like a man, performs like a man and apparently might really have the body of a man. Semenya is the only athlete they should test for this. South Africa have failed to do this themselves, so now others have to do it.

How is that racism? Would it be the same if we were talking about doping? Should we allow black athletes to cheat? Testing them would be racist, right?

You must be joking. All I'm saying in this thread is that it's not a race issue. But Byrone is dying to be a victim here.

    I've said it before:

some people who aren't white will play the racism card no matter what. At the same time they think it's not possible to be racist towards a white man. Now what does that say about those people?
Im so glad that im a victim because if i am one you are a racist. You still didnt answer this question, why didnt the IAAF stop this in its tracks before it got out of hand? They had a full roster of the S.African squad & they knew about Semenya. The IAAF didnt do squat until some opposition made acquisation.

FYI im mixed race, wise one.I have Dutch,Irish,German & African ancestory. So please do carry on with the "victim" crap.

I love how you asked me if i was black & then you followed it up with>> "You people are so sad,you love to be the victim"

Classy words coming from a racist arsehole that has imaginary friends & relatives.I dont believe a damn thing that comes out of your mouth because youre a pathological liar.

    Seven is a joke indeed.

I love it when people who've never experienced racism speak of racism :D It's just so much fun to watch. :warmandfuzzy:
