I know you are Belgian. To you it's a european vs. american thing.
Youre not far off,Ali buts its more about his issues with America.

What? I really don't like Austria. If it's "us" against "them", I sure hope Austria isn't part of "us".
You know full well that its about taking a swipe at the American members here & please, please dont diss Austria because of Fritzl.

Only when you give us a proper explanation on how Zanetti is better than Xavi, and please don't leave out the part where you say how Zanetti is a better passer :seven:

Why should you answer his questions when ive asked him quite a few myself & he chose to ignore them?

You can't, can you? You can't tell me why this is racism. No one can.
Of course no one can do it, because it has nothing to do with the fact that she's from Africa. There have been fat and men-like russian athletes (in shot-put i think) with love voices, who used doping and because of this became like that, but no one cared when people made fun of them, cause it indeed is funny what people do for money and glory. Also there was no fuss about them being tested and found guilty, i won't be surprised if this case is fishy too, because it indeed looks like cheating, the only question is whether the girl knew something was not right or not. But it's silly to play the racist card, if there is suspicion about her sex, better check it, whether she's from South Africa or Azerbaijan, because it wouldn't be fair against the other females that made the 800 distance if she cheated.

I was going to save this, but hey, now that you've raised the point already: yes, most likely there have been more white athletes who have undergone gender tests.

So, again, how is it racism?

I don't know about the gender tests, but there definetly have been cases when after winning a gold medal the winner have been asked to make some tests out of the usual and found guilty.

The gender tests were typically aimed at Eastern European athletes. In fact, maybe that WAS racist at the time.

Ow right. But it was still racism!

Semenya looks like a man, run likes a man and has the hormones of a man.

How the fuck is testing her racist?
It isn't.

But that doesn't make it any better or take away from the fact that this situation has been handled horribly. She obviously had to qualify for the World's and I'm pretty sure she looked the same then as she did when she won the 800. The governing body dropped the ball on this one by waiting til she won to make accusations. Like B said earlier, if they had made the inquiry to her gender before she won gold, then there wouldn't be a problem at all.

First things first, they DID make an inquiry about her gender. They were not content with the way South Africa handled this and now they're testing her.

But everyone agrees that it's racism. That's what Ze says. That's what Fred says. That's what Byrone says. And that's what a lot of South Africans are saying.

Now my question is, if it's that easy, show me why it's racist. Because it's not.

Well if there was an investigation into this in the prior to the World Championships and South Africa didn't do proper job then only South Africa is to blame.

Though it makes one wonder. If she hadn't won, would this even be an issue?

Well no, but that's still not about racism. Winners are tested more. It's always like that. If you shoot up anabolic steroids, but end up 50th, who the fuck cares? You may have cheated, but you still lost anyway. It's about winning unfairly.

Exactly. She should have been tested way before but 1- does it mean that they now must stop testing her only because she hadn't been tested before? And 2- As I said earlier in this thread, some of our U18 national players were tested after we were qualified for the World Cup. We sure first had to qualify for the Asian games and those players sure looked just as old but AFC authorities only tested our players when we won a spot in the World championships. It happens. When you achieve something, you inevitably go under spotlight. 3- By no means is it a matter of race. Suppose that she was a white athlete, looking like a man, with manlike muscles (just in the way Semnaya looks). She'd still be tested.

All trolling and throwing the topic off aside, I'd be very much delighted and thankful if Byrone or anyone else who thinks Semnaya is being treated badly because of her color, tells me why he thinks so.

In the end, I'm so sure that Semnaya is a female and I hope she celebrates her gold once again this time without a shadow of doubt :D
