Regarding Tévez vs defenders, I'm not going to take a side on the argument, but I do think our current defenders are overrated based on the first few games. Barzagli is still going through good form, which a lot of players have been known to (Bonucci last season), so he's still an uncertainty. Bonucci was heralded a success by some against Milan, despite being relatively untested (apart from a couple of occasions, when we witnessed the silly leg sweep), and still has some obvious flaws to his game. Chiellini has been moved to left back because of the problems there, and positionally didn't look all that (and against Serbia he wasn't particularly great either). De Ceglie, Grosso and Motta are still lingering in the background. I think there's still a reason to be concerned about it.

tbh i wouldn't say zambrotta is that much better than grosso, point is he is unreliable
abate isn't better than lichsteiner though, certainly not from a defensive view point which is what we're discussing here
Again we were discussing last season's milan scudetto push. Right now we have better RB.

I know our defense is not perfect at all, but if it continues at the same level or better and we add in Tevez, it would be a huge boost to the whole team. For a couple of reasons.

#1 Tevez is the kind of player needed for games like Catania or Bologna. A player that can breakdown a tough defense and finish on a half chance from 25 yards. None of attackers (well DP is 37) have that kind of ability to be considered a game winning player.

#2 Tevez would probably be the best player in Serie A. Therefore with him in our attack, teams are much more likely to sit back more than usual and not be as aggressive on the attack because they would be punished on a counter-counter-attack. Therefore we would concede less goals if our defense carries on at least the same level or better. Especially with Vidal and Marchisio to a certain extent (in some games) bossing the midfield.

You edited that, but look up my qoute, you said usual selves.
I said in my first post that they were their usual selves, which I meant as their usual AMAZING selves. Understand?

Gattuso was crap for half of the season. Nesta and Silva were their usual selves.
My first post

I got mixed up with Seedorf there. And with Nesta and Silva being their usual selves I meant their amazing usual selves. Read more carefully.
What I did mean in my first post.

You are mixed up. Nesta and Silva were usual themselves last year, world class. Think carefully.
You repeated what I said but said I am mixed up and I need to think carefully. How ironic.

You are wrong.

thats why im comparing last season's milan's defence to this season's Juventus defence, what im highlighting is that based on what we have seen this season with our defence is that we have the same left back issue as milan did last season. catch my drift?

We have seen too little to judge right now. Wait at least 15-20 games, and than compare things. Milan had and has better LB. Barzagli, Bonucci can't be compared to last year's Nesta or Silva.

now there was no need for that

tbh if i had to choose between zambrotta or antonelli against PDC and Grosso, i dont think there is anything between then.

Instead of accepting the fact that you were wrong over such a simple thing, you have to say that. That's just wrong dude. What the hell is wrong with you?

Keep on diggin'

Didn't say that to you. And haven't you read the kind of names he was calling me?

Something doesn't automatically become if a fact if you say it.
I could I ask you that question.

Yeah there's barely anything between them, but I'd probably pick Zambrotta and Antonini? because of the mental factor that Zambrotta has. Most tactically aware out of all of them.
