For 9 million. What an absolute steal. And the funny thing is that they have not been able to get any of their new expensive players to play to their potential.

I understand that City have been unlucky with their draws since forever, but given their squad on paper they should do much more. I dont expect them to be better than Barca and Bayern but to atleast go down with a fight or perhaps make an upset occasionally. Show us something with that powerful squad, don't just bend over and take it in the ass as if you have Cska Moscow's squad. If they perform to their full potential they will still lose to Bayern, Barca and Madrid on average but it wont be a land-slide every time and they would occasionally win.

Their terrible allocation of spending is also hilarious. So not only do they over-pay for players that aren't worth the money in general, but also with the players that they already have they should be doing much more. They should perform atleast like PSG and be some challenge for the big teams and occasionally cause an upset.

Interesting comment by Sacchi. Baggio was immense, but so is Tevez.

I saw the interview, and Sacchi's point was that they are pretty much equals when it comes to attacking talent/forward play, but what makes Tevez the better player is that he also tracks back and works hard for the midfield and defense. That there's simply more to his game.

Tevez responded to Sacchi with a smile, and very humbly said: "Thank you so much, I'm honored that you would compare me to such a great player."

Class.
No way in hell. If Baggio was Del Piero's equal (if not better) then he is definitely at a whole different level than Tevez. Sacchi is probably over excited.

:agree:

Tevez doesn't seem the player to transcend the situation of the club he is at. IE. His last two years at ManCity. But in a settled team, with a good coach, and good mindset, he's one of the best players in the world.

He's a passionate, emotional, fiery guy. Off-field issues and team nonsense likely affect him more than many.
he should be grateful not ended up in milan :D

Del Piero fans (Myself, Seven, Hoori, Del Piero Style, Elvin, Blondu etc) were all happy to see Tevez wear number 10.

I don't remember anyone bitching.
There were some people bitching, they are really insignificant. Last week someone wanted to retire the jersey number.

So, a question to you all... Now that Juventus have finally learned that it is much better to have a Tevez in the team, rather than a Matri or a Llorente, who do you think will be Tevez's replacement next year?
