My first post on here a few moths ago was regarding Tevez; I've watched him play live at City for the last 4 years and he is without question the best player we have had, easily better than Aguero, Toure, Dzeko and Robinho. From a City perspective I'm sad to see him go, but the fact it's to my second team has eclipsed that with exitement. He's a leader, and he'll take us up to the next level in Europe. He's certainly worthy of the 10 shirt and I can't wait to see him in action.

The midfield is just fine, strange that people were talking up DDR earlier in the wish list, considering the guys we have waiting in the wings.
Marrone needs more playing time (hence loan to a smaller club), Padoin in average (and if we could land DDR, he and Isla would need to pack their bags) and in any case we need more depth in defence, and I'm not talking Peluso's here. DDR would be a great addition to our team no matter which way you spin it. He could aptly fill in for any of Vidal, Pirlo or Marchisio in CM, and just as easily slot in to any of the positions in the back three. Plus his grinta is suitable to that of a Juve player, with us he has a very realistic chance of winning some pretty major silverware.

Brushing off DDR like some two-bit mid table hack is almost offensive towards the great player he is. Where we to nab him we'd posses 4 players of the 2006 World Cup winning squad, I'd say that isn't bad, since he hasn't even hit 30 yet. It would be no different to Tevez in an age sense, his value isn't quite what it once was but can still offer many years of quality, high level football and being able to play in a number of versatile positions.

Manchester City's Gareth Barry admits Carlos Tevez move is a massive loss

Gareth Barry has expressed his sadness at the news that Carlos Tevez has left Manchester City to join Juventus.

The Argentine striker completed a move to Juve on Wednesday evening after the clubs had earlier agreed a fee of around £10million.

Tevez's transfer brings to an end a four-year spell at the Etihad Stadium and, although he has had a few well-documented problems, Barry insists he will be missed.

The 29-year-old has been instrumental in the club's success over the past few seasons, when they have been crowned Premier League and FA Cup champions, and Barry has no doubts that he will continue to shine in Italy.

"He has had a fantastic few years there and he has been fantastic to play alongside."

"It will be a massive loss for Manchester City," the midfielder told Sky Sports News.

"He has had a fantastic few years there and he has been fantastic to play alongside.

"To hear that news is quite sad but he will go and do a great job wherever he goes."

Tevez signed a three-year deal with Juventus on Wednesday after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

He has been handed the famous number 10 shirt at Juventus and revealed upon his arrival in Italy that he had rejected interest from AC Milan.

The move ends Tevez's seven-year stay in England after spells with West Ham United, Manchester United and City.

Tevez's departure leaves City with only two recognised strikers in the squad with Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko remaining at the Etihad Stadium.

That video Top 20 Tevez video Man City released was incredible.

Every goal gave me goosebumps. Those goals are Del Piero-esque.
