the reason tevez wasnt subbed till the 85th minute, was a clear message and confidence boost to him that hes a confirmed starter despite having a rather poor outing, so any idea of him getting dropped any time soon is a remote possibility at this point

I feel like a coach who would let a player stay on just to give him a confidence boost sends the wrong message to the rest of the team. I honestly think it was just because we had the lead and he didn't think the bench could provide anything better.

exactly, my point is that even if he had a bad game he's still more dangerous than our bench. it wasn't to give him a confidence boost.

I don't think he was that poor, he got pretty close to scoring when he hit the post. Sure, he can and must do better but he wasn't that bad. I'd still rather have him on the pitch than our other attackers.

he's had 2 assists in the last 3 games.

even when he's not scoring, he's making an impact. exaclty what you want your support forward to do

Both were from corners...
Really some of you need to get off his strap, if vucinic had 0 goals but 2 assists in last 3 people would be thrashing him for not scoring. This guy is past it, yea he works hard but he's not the forward we needed, hasn't scored in over 20cl games, that's a joke, we need someone more then him

Tevez kept losing the ball, but nevermind. He ran his ass off :agree:

Can't wait until Pepe is fit, with all that workrate we'll surely win the CL
