I just don't think his champions league wins are enough to say he is the best manager ever.

Won the champions league with Milan twice while having some of the greatest squads of all time ago his disposal.

Won the champions league with Real Madrid who are almost winning it by default in this era.

Great achievements yes but he's hardly reinventing the wheel.

Also worth mentioning that he only has 6 league titles to his name.

You could say the same things for any successful manager.

You cannot keep winning continuously without having stacked teams at your disposal.

It is subjective of course but 20-30 years down the line, we can't ignore the achievements by the likes of Carlo and Pep despite managing stacked teams.

Especially with Pep. His trophy count is too insane to ignore.

Except for Bayern and PSG, it was never a given for Ancelotti to win the league with the rest. Especially bearing in mind how strong Serie A was back in 2004 and competitive the EPL is.

My arguments against Fergie are that although he had success with Aberdeen he never proved himself at other clubs or in other leagues.

• Fergie himself admitted he should have won more CLs (he won 2 in 27 years, look how many Carlo or Zidane won in 5-6). When looking at history who actually rival Fergie before Wenger joined epl in 96-97? Who? Blackburn won a title. Liverpool became a joke after 1990. Obv later years you had Wenger and Jose Mourinho but 1990-1996 there wasnt anyone in the same league imo in the epl. Everyone knows Wenger made a big difference of you study the history (diets, drinking problems, scouting foreign leagues, Fergie early years only had like Cantona, Solskjaer and Smeichel as his foreign players).

• Carlo coached Everton like 5 years ago. How is that wisely chosen? At Bayern the players asked for his sack. Look he obv will go down as one of the games great managers but he has had his meh moments, lost league to Montpellier at Psg, didnt do much at Napoli. Its pretty obv that him and Real are a match made in heaven. And before anyone says oh its Real ask Solari, Benitez or Lopetegui.

It should though.

What Klopp achieved with Liverpool and even Ranieri with Leicester is more impressive than anything Pep has done in my opinion.

But just like deciding who the greatest players of all times are I think it's just a matter of personal preference and opinion.

Both have a special knack of making really smart adjustments to player positions that takes the players to an insane new level that makes you wonder why no one else did it before.

Pirlo and Bellingham for example with Carlo.
And for Pep it’s probably what he did with Xavi or moving Messi into the false nine position when he had just bought freaking Zlatan. And moving Henry to the wing too. That takes balls.
Stones in midfield and what he did with Fernandinho was pretty impressive too.

A lot of coaches can win with a stacked team, but Carlo and Pep has something extra which is why they can win with such crazy consistency.

Messi aside, I think Carlo probably coached more talented players than Pep. Close call though.
