Chiellini Will Be Staying, Declare Juventus
Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco has banished transfer speculation surrounding Giorgio Chiellini, and insisted that the youngster is a part of Claudio Ranieri's plans.
Giorgio Chiellini was first linked with a 10 million euro move to Liverpool, before Manchester City stepped in and almost completed the signing.
Then talk of a swap deal involving Gabriel Heinze started doing the rounds, before City came back with an improved 13 million euro bid.
However, Claudio Ranieri has made up his mind, it seems, and the Italian under-21 international will be staying put. Alessio Secco has confirmed as much!
"The news on Chiellini’s departure? There is nothing to report," Secco told Juventus Channel. "Giorgio is part of the club’s plans and will stay here at Juventus.
"As for our transfer campaign, I can only reiterate what was already said recently. We have made the signings we want, but we will keep on assessing the various opportunities that arise.
"The team is basically okay as it is, and there is great harmony with coach Claudio Ranieri on this issue."

The defender is reportedly on the verge of joining Sven Goran Eriksson’s new outfit in a £7m move after being a target for Liverpool as well earlier this summer.
His future in Turin was thrown into doubt following his public complaints about the fact that he felt neglected by the Serie B champions.

I don't buy what Secco says for one second, he has learned the hard way from the Trez/Camo situation; if 'the market' recognizes that Juve has to sell an unhappy player no-one will give you a decent bid for them!
And as far as Legro, Biri and the other scrubs goes we may have to sell them in Jan to somebody desperate as it is a similar situation as the abv, an open secret that Juve wants to sell..

Good news that Chiellini will be staying. Hopefully the management are telling the truth.
He's not irreplaceable and we would most likely make a profit out of selling Chiellini and buying his replacement, but the less we change in this team the better. It would be like selling Balzaretti and replacing him with Molinaro. Small profit, unnecessary risk.

i agree .. i think juve should make the most important changes that we desperately need rather than make changes for the sake of gaining a little profit .
When many changes are made in a team this is bad for a team's stability and familliarity . Players will need to take time to get fammiliar with each other , while the new players may take a long time to adapt to the squad (most often this does happen ) which creates many gaps in the team and unfulfilled positions . by getting new players you are effectively creating new problems .
The less players we buy the better . its more about getting quality rather than quantity , id rather have a few good players than a whole bunch of average ones .
Selling players like zalayeta , zebina , boumsong etc.. and buying one decent player is imo what juve should be doing right now . we need more quality at the back and keeping those players that can only do so much can be a burden for the team .
