Just saw this .. How boring the english game can get !! .. it's already boring enough !!

Capello Named As New England Manager Fabio Capello has been confirmed as the new coach of the England national after the final details on a four-and-a-half year deal were ironed out.
Capello Named As New England Manager

The Italian trainer has put pen-to-paper on a contract worth around £6m a year and has an opt-out clause included to be able to to leave in 2010.

Football Association board members have been working relentlessly to land their man after José Mourinho reportedly rejected the role.

One key point of controversy was over who Capello wanted with him, but the FA relented after he assured them that he would also include a number of English coaches in his staff.

Capello is bringing with him Franco Baldini, Italo Galbiati, Franco Tancredi and Massimo Neri as he looks to lay the groundwork in his new post.

The 61-year-old's appointment has been made official, but he will not attend a press conference to explain his plans until January 7.

Among the people arriving at the FA headquarters in central London on Friday was Stuart Pearce, who is the current boss of the England Under-21 side.

Other names such Alan Shearer and Tony Adams have been linked with a role within the new set-up, although Capello will oversee the new appointments when he arrives.

 How funny. Now the english have turned to an italian to win them something. It's probably the smartest thing they've done in the last decade.

I would pay to see the looks on the faces of everyone who thinks that this combination will be a failure when the results start coming in.

If this was a league where everyone plays home-away, Capello's England would have been my #1 favorite.
This way, when one bad day of the goalkeeper, one penalty kick missed or one great day by opponent's keeper may give the final verdict of how successful Capello was as England's coach, those whose faces you and i would like to see may very well be smiling at the end, saying "i told you so", and go ahead and prove to them that Capello was actually doing a very good job.

NT manager's job is a very tricky one.

Told me what? I am not predicting anything as I don't really care. What I meant in my statement is that if he makes results it will be fun seeing them eating their pants.

The perfect man for the perfect job,
it will be interesting to see what happens, Capello barely misses and targets/championships,on the other hand, England barely wins any.
A tradition is bound to broke.
Capello can finally try out his systems with 2 DMs and and long balls with the best possible conditions. Gerard and Lampard are creative enough to give that little extra most of the double DMs formations Crap had up until now,
didnt manage to offer
and English players are experts on crossing and heading those long balls Crap favors...

He did make result at Real Madrid after leaving us, and now they still claim he is a bad manager. Capello is a winner at club level, but we have to wait and see how he will do with England, though England are the Inter Milan of National teams.

That's exactly what I meant. Some people already wrote him off which is something really ridiculous and I would love to see their reaction if they were proven otherwise. One because it is England (very much hated) and two because it Capello (even more hated).
