Serie A newcomers Messina have reported an approach from Juventus for their high-scoring left back Alessandro Parisi.

Parisi scored 14 goals last season playing a vital role in Messina's push for promotion to Serie A.

Internazionale have also expressed an interest in the defender, as Messina sporting director Mariano Fabiani confirmed.

"If in January an important offer arrives we could sell him," Fabiani told Guerin Sportivo magazine.

"Parisi is an important player for us, but a club like Messina must think in a certain way. Big sides are seeing his performances. Juve have been the first, but last week Inter also showed their interest.

"We are ready to discuss the possible transfer. We await the right proprosal to open a negotiation."

very interesting!

And why isn't this in the transfer rumor section?
Too true.

Is he by any chance a penalty-taker? Free-kicks? I can't see any left-back scoring 14 from open play!

i wouldn tsay parisi is like roberto carlos, doesnt make the run rc makes, and is slightly more defensively minded.

But he has a mint shot, freekicks pens and bullet shots are amazing.

He would be a cheap left foot for us...and what a left foot it would be.

I don't think he would be cheap, considering Inter is also interested in him.

well he WOULD have been had we moved for him when we were first interested in him, last year.
If Juve moved for every prospect as soon as he caught their eye, they'd be worse than Inter.

Parisi is fantastic i would love to see him in Juve, Zambo could go to midfield then. Parisi has a stunning!!! leftfoot shot, and a excellent penalty taker and and overally good LB, offensive, but also good at defending.

i dun see any need for us to sign Parisi..... Zambrotta hardly injured nor he sufer from severe drop of form.... and although i always thought he is a better wide midfielder , at this stage its better for him to establish himself more in one position , now that being a left back....

Is he better than Jankulovksi?

I think as LB he is, because he is very offensive, has a leftfoot shot that few has, and he is dangerous for the opponents!, scores much goals. Jank on the other hand is more versatile, but Juve dont need that IMO.
