Ledesma is a good young midfielder and certainly a better player than Blasi. Personally, though, I would rather go after Essien if at all possible.

I would settle for Ledesma though.
Word, if we could get Essien, we should grab the chance, even if Rosicky (Riquelme, Aimar) comes next year.

I heard some rumors that Juve is interessed in Essien. That would be great he's a DMF but he's scoring a lot of goals

im hoping moggi brings in more than one. Ledesma would be nice as would essien. bring in van bommel as well on a free. then sell blasi and paiiah and also tacchinardi.

emerson, van bommel, essien and ladesma as the four options in midfield would be a lot better than what we have now.

I heard that Van Bommel is linked with Madrid but since Dominic is saying he will be free then I am thinking that more likely he will be heading this direction ;)

Van Bommel was selected in ESM (European Sports Magazines) starting Eleven this week:

    Cech,
    Puyol, Lucio Terry
Van Bommel, Essien, Pirlo, Joe Cole
    Wiltord, Crespo, Ronaldinho

    nice team huh?

The dutch players nowadays mostly prefer England and Spain to Italy though and if we WERE to convince Mark van Bommel to join us we'd have to offer him a huge salary.

Yeah van Bommel will most likely move to Barcelona. If they want him to play deep in midfield and do the dirty work, I'm not sure if he would be the right man for the job. I think he's better going forward.
