You could read it that way but I'm not sure that is really the case.

i don't think he will leave Real this summer, but if he did I would expect him to join us.
That's what I tried to say. A statement like "He wants to come back" sounds very concrete.

"A transfer to Juve is not impossible but there are many summer-rumours" sounds much more like blabla to me.

He wants CL more than anything. i think he will have ashot at it one more time before he goes back to napoli.

forget about it ... he wont come

i really cant beleave what is happening now. we are searching for a new defender but we are seaching outside of italy.
as much as i repect milito, pepe and the others serie A is much tougher than portgese or spanish league. performing well in a CL match is not a caliber. we need a consistant player

We certanly wont be playing two centre backs without any Serie A experience next seaso (Milito and Pepe for example), one of them will have to be Italian, so chances that it will be Canna aren't small at all.
good call mate, also i believe that buffon will be pushin the juve board to sign canna back. with canna there, im sure either milito, pepe, barzagli, andrade or whoever will do a good job and learn fast, there is no better teacher than fabio

I think Cannavaro might be our final acquisition. And we'll see either a Cannavaro-Criscito or Cannavaro-Chiellini partnership.

although i have no doubts in chiellini or criscito's abilities, i dont believe they are good enough to hold down a CB position. i believe the club needs to sign 2 good CB with chiellini playing left back (molinaro as backup) and criscito, boumsong as backup for CB.

Cannavaro Agent Rules Out Juve Return
Fabio Cannavaro's agent has dismissed reports that the World Cup winner cold return to Juventus this summer, only a year after leaving the club to join Real Madrid.

Reports have surfaced that the 33-year-old was tempted to go back to Serie A and to la Vecchia Signora after their promotion from the Italian second tier.

Enrico Fedele has moved to dispell those rumours and claimed that Cannavaro wants to stay in Spain and is seen as a key player by Bernd Schuster.

"Fabio Cannavaro going back Juventus? No, I cannot see that," Cannavaro's representative explained.

"He is enjoying himself at Madrid and the new coach, Schuster, has said that Fabio is the reference point in his defence.

"Of course, in the world of football you can never say never because things can change from one morning to the next night.

Although Schuster has not yet been appointed as the new coach at the Bernabéu, the German has often been quoted giving his opinion on the changes that will be required at Madrid for next season.

Cannavaro, who won the Ballon D'Or for his performances in the World Cup last summer, did not enjoy his best season last term but ended on a high as he helped Madrid win their first major trophy in three seasons.

A return to his first club Napoli has also been mentioned, but it now appears that he will be staying in la Primera for another campaign at least.

I hope he won't come back ever to Juve. Are we so desperate to chase him??

Does Secco want to convince us that Juve have just two options: Milito or Canna??

I hope Real won't buy neither Chivu nor Milito, and Canna will be stuck with them until they find a replacement.

Thats what I'm really trying to figure out. Is it that we can't survive without Cannavaro coming back? the answer is simply No. Is Milito our last hope? also the answer is No.

Lets just do our transfer market normal without insisting on certain players, as if it's the end of the world.

We're Juventus ffs, we make talented players if we can't find one, we turn them into class if we can't find one.

    So let it go.

very well said. I can still remember, when we brought Camoranesi, and everybody was asking:"Who the f*ck is this?" Yet, he turned out to be Italy`s best right winger.....

on the other hand, we also had a lot of sh*t moves like Baiocco, Paramatti, etc.

    :agree:

I really do hope that we play this smart and don’t allow his return. Let him rot in his safe haven which he jetted from us for, especially now without his beloved capello.

    Cannavaro? I Don't Think So - Cobolli

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli denied his team are in talks with Real Madrid over Fabio Cannavaro.

zoom - galleria With difficulties arising in the negotiations to bring Real Zaragoza defender Gabriel Milito to Juventus, it has been suggested the Old Lady will try to bring back Fabio Cannavaro, who left for Real Madrid last summer following the Calciopoli scandals.

According to Spanish sources Juve's managers have contacted their Merengue colleagues to enquire if there is any possibility of luring the Azzurri's captain back to his home country.

In reality it would be a very complicated negotiation and president Cobolli Gigli also seemed skeptical on the issue as he answered journalists' questions on his way out of a meeting at the Italian FA headquarters.

"If I would say that there hasn't been a meeting with the Real Madrid management I would be lying, but only because I don't know. I know [sporting director] Alessio Secco is in Spain, but I don't know what his agenda is. However I don't think he talked to Real and even if he did talk with them I doubt that they discussed Cannavaro."

The debate is on regarding the Juve chairman's last sentence, as it's anyone's guess which players he may have meant that Secco could be interested in...

    Let the speculation begin.
