Ha if you ask Italian Intertristi "Matrix won the World Cup" for Italy. It proves they only see what they want. Ya he score in the final but they missed the penalty he caused earlier in the same match.

In any case they are now saying that it was the FIGC medic who analyzed him and sent him home. I'm not saying they are lying because I wasn't there but imo whether it is true or not, that is exactly what would have been said.

As stated previously, nothing will happen.

Welcome to Serie Telecom
Why don't you enlighten us on the difference between materazzi playing for Inter against catania and Semioli scoring the second goal for Fiorentina against Atalanta?

After all Semioli pulled out of the same squad due to injury.

SerieA is becoming a laughing stock with idiots like catania continuing to belittle the championship with rubbish like this.

Since the beginning of time, players had always pulled out of friendlies, hell, Ryan Giggs hardly played friendlies for Wales and missed 4 years of it, playing his 1st in long time for mark Hughes when he was manager.

Catania is 1 team that i dont like at all and they bring nothing but trouble to serieA.

Speaking of internationals why are the likes of Totti and Nesta allowed to get away from retiring from internationals and Claude makele is almost being blackmailed into playing for his country? Thats for another discussion anyways.

But back to you guys, keep blaming Inter for everything if it makes you feel so much better.

Goodness! what a thread and you wonder why i tire easily of the tripe in this thread.

Hey look Denco is defending Inter. Want the answer? Semioli didn't play the previous match day with Milan.

For the record I'm not blaming inter for anything regarding the matrix case. I think that rule is dumb personally. It is however another example of Inter being above the law. I hope Donadoni reacts by not calling the cocksucker up in the summer. I hate him and hated him at Perugia. He was always a hack, a penalty shot waiting to happen. Italy has better options.

to say catania have bought nothing but trouble is a stupid comment.
What exactly do they bring to the table apart from trouble?

Who was involved in the death of the policeman that caused away fans to be banned?

There are some other things that they have done that I dont like and this is another 1.

@Gsol if you know it is a stupid idea why are you talking about serie telecom?

Semioli was called up to the NT, pulled out then played against Atalanta end of.

The fact that he missed Milan's game is a non issue as Donadoni should not have called him up so he and Matrix are in the same category but Atalanta are not bringing the game to disrepute as Catania seem to do all the time.

I never used to rate Matrix as i thought Lippi was drunk to call him up to the NT but to deny that he has been a key player since the world cup is just a nonsense.

If you could just take away bias from your assesments you would be a far better poster as far as I am concerned.

But too many times emotions and personal opinions clud your judgements and that is why we always be at loggerheads as I have no time for people that put their personal opinions above arguments.

You have hated him since perugia like that takes away the fact that your judgement on him is not personal, was it not the same Perugia that we lost to that gave Lazio their scudetto?

Denco, shut up and learn the rules.

You can't play the match day prior AND the match day after a national call up that you skipped for injury purposes. That's the rule. Semioli not playing against Milan gave him the right to also miss the Portugal game and then go back against Atalanta. Don't argue it.

Remember that Perugia game was the last day of that season and I thought he was a hack well before.

Crucial in the world cup. Come out of the closet already. He scored against Czech then got himself sent off against Australia forcing the team down to 10 men. Then he scored in the final but only after causing a penalty. He played what 3 out of 7 games? Ya crucial. Next you'll tell me Inzaghi's goal was the turning point.

As usual you are talking out of your ass as your other orifice is not for talking but doing other things in your private moments.

Materazzi's sending off against Australia was asinine and even non Italian fans would agree with that.

How many defenders actually score in world cup finals, score in penalty shootouts, get the key player sent off cos surely Zidane would have taken a penalty in the shoout out if it got there as even with 10 men France were the better side on the day talk less if their best player was still around?

No he was not a key player because he played in 3 games because you say so.

Totti played in all but he was no where as effective as Materazzi so whats your point?

As for the Semioli, Materazzi debate there is no point as Catania do not have any case.

Players have been known to do what Materazzi did so its a moot point

Things are going to get worse

Ya I’m the guy who talks out of his ass. I’m sure that’s what everyone here thinks.
Materazzi’s red was soft . I agree. So was the penalty. They were still entirely his fault. The referees were instructed by FIFA to get tough on fouls and to not be shy with cards. It was announced by FIFA prior to the tournament. Everyone knew that they would be harsh and they were consistently tough throughout. Materazzi should have been more careful. But as usual…he’s a hacker. We all know that.
Plenty of defenders score (Zambrotta scored and set up another in the same game, Grosso scored and created the penalty for Totti and scored in the shootout) etc. Materazzi only remedied the damage he did. Scored, sent off, penalty, scored again. He was even by my standards.
Zidane sending off was less important than people think. It was very late and Zidane had been suffocated all game. Ya he would have taken a penalty but it would have changed nothing. Trezeguet missed and he didn’t replace Zidane in the shoot out, Sagnol did.
Point is a player can play all 7 games and do nothing but in the end you can’t say tht a player was so influential if he was present less than half the time. Everyone knows it was a team effort but when asked everyone says that the best were Canna, Buffon, and Pirlo. Only interisti mention that prick.
The Catania case is a dead issue. They are entirely right and do have a case but nothing will happen anyway. As Moratti stated “Inter have many friends”

Zambrotta and Gross were converted wingers to wing backs or whatever they are called nowadays and so them scoring is not all that surprising.

You think Zidane was not playing well in the final before he got sent off?

About Catania I would post to you something that they said

“There’s a rule and it should apply to everyone,” Catania sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco raged on Radio Radio.

“We have a player, Juan Vargas, and he was injured before and still had to travel to the Peruvian camp. He didn’t play and came back fine, but we couldn’t field him in our next game against Torino.”

What exactly does that mean? Vargas went, to Peru, he did not play cos of injury .

Is their point that Materazzi should have gone regardless?

Why couldnt Vargas play against Torino? Was is not because he was injured? If not, then I dont see the point the guy is making and has no bearing on Materazzi's case.

Materazzi suffered a seriuos injury playing a meaningless friendly for Italy and he is not even match fit but Inter are supposed to release him when they do not have defenders cos of injury?

Please, if they are punished then I would support clubs for not releasing players for their NT.

Apart from sheer stupidity what other traits do you possess?

What has the pure garbage you have just spurted out got to do with anything we are talking about?

Materazzi played an important part in Italy winning the world cup, the fact that he plays for Inter is totally immaterial.

Man, pick on someone of your abject lack of intelligence to try and debate with as there is nothing about you that I find remotely interesting so quit looking out for my posts as they are far too much for you to ever grasp.

Turk, really, if you just for a moment stop thinking that Denco is an Interista and that he's an Anti-Juve and an enemy, you'll see that many times he brings good points and he's right, even though none of us likes what he says.
It would be better to reply to him by proving him wrong instead of throwing sarcastic remarks or insults.

It's a very interesting discussion between two pretty intellegent members going on here. Personally, i partly agree and disagree with both Denco and gsol. The way they are defending their opinion is what makes this topic interesting but ,imo, defending their opinion at any cost makes them both wrong in certain cases.

I know it's a special moderation topic but i'd appreciate it if we stop with direct insults towards other members and concentrate on the topic instead.
