The Gazzetta's links to Inter can mainly be attributed to one person. Carlo Buora. This man was the VP of Pirelli and is now the VP of Telecom Italia. Both companies have historical ties with Inter directors Tronchetti and Moratti (Tronchetti owns Pirelli and Moratti owns Inter while both sit on Telecom-Italia's Board of Directors). Carlo is also the President of RCS Media Group which owns Gazzetta Dello Sport, Corriere Dello Sport, Correire Della Sera and now Tuttosport as well among others. For a long time Carlo was actually president of Inter as well.

Moggi was like an old lady, he admits it himself. He can't shut up. He had to talk to everybody about everything. The impression I got when I listened to the wiretaps is that he is a gossip queen. Granted nothing really bad was said but he trashed everyone and shamed himself. It wasn't against the rules at the time (nor is it now) but it was still in poor taste. It wasn't just him. Pairetto was so pussy whipped he told his wife everything all the time. Bunch of chicks.

That just tells me that he was just yapping off as it was part of his personality and not that he was talking about buying refs and fixing matches.

I was only talking from personal experience with Gazzetta. I read them more or less regularly and i know that Milan are their main interest. Many of their articles (actually most of the articles) seem like they're written by Milan fans. They are always the first Italian papper that has exclusive info about anything happening in Milan, about potential transfers in and out of the team and they always seem to "forget" to write about the bad things happening to Milan while they never forget to write, or even to give 2 or 3 pages, about the bad things happening to any other team, including Inter.
They are pro-Milan the same way Tuttosport is pro-Juve

I was actually responding to a few people there who had doubted the link but I see your point. Today obviously the situation has changed but in the past it was hard to screw Milan around in the press or on TV because of the power Berlumerda had. As soon as he was gone Milan was dragged through the mud too (to some extent).

In any case realistically I doubt that being a Juventino will really help our team should he be elected. It's different with Berlumerda because he has a vested interest in Milan. But for a simple fan I doubt too much would change. Granted a farsopoli would likely not repeat itself but that's an extreme circumstance
