He was in second place in the league with 9 matches left. That’s probably reason enough to sack him. He had the lowest point total of your Bundesliga champions streak last year and is on pace for an even lower pt total this year, if he were to win it at all. He got knocked out of CL last year by a vastly inferior Villareal. His CL results this year are no more than expected. Dominated a group he should have and then beat a PSG he should have. I imagine the board is disappointed in his CL campaign last year and his league campaign this year and worried that he was going to lose the league and get smoked by Man City with his tactics and inconsistency.

Good point I can’t disagree with any of your points.

I’m just very surprised by the timing in it. Guess it’s both the results and the fact that there’s been too much going on behind the scenes.

I still think he did great in the CL though, we conceded 0 goals against Inter, Barca and PSG.

We also had some luck though, especially against Barca at home where we easily could’ve trailed with 2-3 goals before half time. Lewandowski missing sitters and us punishing Barca on pretty much nothing else than a corner kick and Musiala/Sané individual brilliance.

I don't think any club in the world would have sacked him unless he has lost the dressing room Or has a fallout with the management.

His tightness with the Management is what lost him part of the dressing room.

Neuer, Kimmy, and Muller are the team leaders, he ostracized Neuer, and I have heard he clashes with the wingers and Kimmich. Muller got along with everyone except Kovac.

And tuchel has fallout with every club management that have appointed him as a coach.

Exactly.

Hence I believe there’s more to it than the results, especially as we’re in the QF’s of the CL.

Probably something going on behind the scenes for a longer time.

Must be his training methods, they don't compare to Juve's poorer methods. Can't wait to see de ligt play pragmatic football again under tuchel :seven:

Nagelsman would be a great manager for Juve
He'd be great for atalanta or sassuolo. The guy is a loser

Nags already shortlisted for Tottenham, and Real jobs.

Report: Real Madrid set to pounce on Julian Nagelsmann after Bayern Munich sacking
After Bayern Munich dropped a bombshell by (unofficially) sacking Julian Nagelsmann yesterday, the rest of the footballing world is beginning to catch up. Real Madrid, who were allegedly already in the hunt for a new manager to replace Carlo Ancelotti this summer, seem to be the first club looking to profit from this unexpected development.

Per Spanish publication Relevo, Julian Nagelsmann has been on Florentino Perez’s radar since forever. This isn’t actually speculation — Nagelsmann himself revealed that he turned down a move to the Spanish capital back in 2018. At the time, the then-RB Leipzig manager felt that he wasn’t ready for such a huge step up. Now, with the experience at Bayern Munich under his belt, he may feel he’s ready to take up another top job.

Madrid’s decision to move for Nagelsmann may have been influenced by Bayern taking Thomas Tuchel off the market. There is a layer of irony to this, as the fear of losing Tuchel to Madrid is what motivated the Bayern executives to make the snap decision to sack Nagelsmann with no prior warning (if certain reports are to be believed).

Is Bayern’s loss going to be Madrid’s gain? Or will this end poorly for all involved? All we know is, Julian Nagelsmann is a man in demand. Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea FC, and other big clubs around Europe will be battling for his signature this coming summer. If he wants it, then he can be coaching in the Champions League again by the beginning of next season. Or even earlier, depending on the circumstances.

We are in a rebuild right now, we won everything three years ago, two to four players could retire in the next two years. We have no patience, and Nags grewe up a Bayern fan. Not a huge fan of Ze Tommy Tuch.
