That's his quality level this year. Why is that such a shock? No reason he can't fight for a place. Prime/fit Pogba I agree, but Locatelli is NOT one of the kind of players you give an automatic pass to start. Not even close.

Locatelli isn't a guaranteed starter - I would like him to be, but for that to happen he has a long way to go. He needs to play at a high level consistently.

For real that guy is gonna be a huge star. I didn't know him till the Celtic - Shakhtar game and holy fuck, every time he got on the ball it looked like he was gonna create a goal somehow.

That was an end-to-end game though, I've no idea how well he does against parked buses like we face every week on Serie A, but in the big games with inter, Roma, Milan and Napoli attacking us he'd be a dream.

The cost is the big thing though like you said. Shakhtar won't let him go cheap that's for sure
