Makes little sense. We can sign better players but he is still a better squad option than Sturaro.

Also on his day he is better than Khedira.

And Marchisio wont be seeing more minutes than him.

If we get rid of him we need 2 new mids. It makes no sense getting rid of him after one year. Its not like he was expensive flop or smth.

I could argue noone is irreplaceable in our squad.

We can do better than Matuidi for sure, he is IMO a better Sissoko, thats it.

But i agree he is not a problem right now, just a loyal squad player that adds to the team and is not deadweight. Just He is not that good to be a starter for us, if we want to win the CL that is.

Sturaro, MArchisio and Khedira are more important things to solve
