So we created all the instability in the world, right? Like the never-ending Palestinian conflict, the wars in the Balkens, and the trouble in Afghanistan, for instance?
Yes,I hold USA responsible for Palestinian conflict, you gave the weapon to raged Hebrews(or Jews....how you like it) after WW2 to concure poor palestinian people.....Just cuz it's their "promised land"??? Bull-fckin-shit
For me,Israel is bunch of occupators sitting on other peoples ground and Sharon is world's No1 war criminal you can get.

War in Balkans was our thing......personally,Croatia never needed and never got your help.

I don't know enough history to comment on that, considering I have just started American history in college, however it must have seemed like the best resolution at the time for all those different cases.

AFAIK, the USA put Saddam in power and armed him to try to control the Islamic revolution in Iran in the 70's.

No, we gave them weapons to defend themselves against the Palestinians.
After you unrightfully took the Palestinians land they had been living on for a 1000 years.

All good points, except the last one, I fail to see how the US had a part in the creation of Yugoslavia.
Who formed Yugoslavia? The United Nations. Who ran the United Nations, at that time? The United States.

If you accept the policy of real politik, then you're right. But, history has proven that policy to be erroneous, especially in the long term. In any case, just because it seemed like the thing to do at the time, does not absolve the US of its responsibility.

We hord natural resources because we are one of the only countries that can do anything with them and produce products. In my eyes there is nothing wrong with producing products. Its a cruel world, however, survival of the fittest wins out in the end.
That is not true. The United States is not the only country that can utilise natural resources and produce things with them. In fact, the huge trade deficit that the US operates with shows that they don't produce as much as they consume.

My point, however, was that the US hordes not only natural resources, but wealth. The US takes advantage of the poorer nations of the world to make more money for the already richest people on this planet. They use their huge economy to force the people of poor nations like Brazil to burn down the rainforest, so that they can sell products produced on the land to America. They work the people of South East Asia to death for low priced items. Furthermore, these people waste more than the people of any other nation, by far. Americans waste clean water, food, and fossil fuels without regard to the future. And America uses their economic, military, and press power to spread this consumer culture throughout the world.

Its a cruel world because people make it cruel. Something that it supposed to seperate us from the animals is compasion. America is already clearly the fittest, is it really necessary to continue to widen the gap between Americans and the rest of the world. For what purpose and to what end?

Bark, if you Europeans refrained from trying to exterminate the entire race of Jews from the planet in the 1930's and 40's, then the allied nations who were victorious in WWII would not have seen the need to create a Jewish state. I'm sure the Jews would have been happy going on about their lives in Germany, Poland, etc. and not being uprooted. Sure, the Palestinians got hosed on that, but didn't Britain control Palestine at the time. What is Britain's responsibilty. Please, before you answer, remember that Briatain was one of the few European nations that did not participate in the extermination of the Jews.

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Enlighten ME......who started massive invasion in Palestinian country in 1948?

    Jews or Palestinians?
This is a rather convoluted issue. The Jews have some historical claim to that land. Archeological evidence shows us that the Jews settled the region and assimilated the people living their who were known as Canaanites. These Canaanites were not Arabs, as some people believe, and they are not an ethnic group that exists today. So, to say that the Arabs were there first is wrong.

Furthermore, Palestine was never a country before Israel. Before the migration of Jews to Israel, Palestine was simply southern Syria. Today, the people known as Palestinians are mostly from other Arab nations in the area.

Basically, there were no serious attempts to stop Jewish migration into Palestine, until there was a movement to start a Jewish Nation there. BTW, the migration didn't start in 1948, but the movement dates back to 1910. Now, the problem really isn't who started what or who deserves the land, because niether side is going to leave. The problem is that many Palestinians believe that they can accept nothing less than, "driving the Jews into the sea", and the Israelis will not stop oppressing the Palestinians until they stop committing terrorist actions against Israel, and even then they may not stop.

The world would be cruel no matter what we do.
