How should I know? Try to ask maybe one of the retardologists on this forum.

First of all, it's Tiago - show some respect to our player. And personally I don't think he's a retard, I even like him a bit, though I was against this transfer. He's creative as we all have seen when Juventus played that legendary match against Reggina. I mean, not every our player can match his passing ability, personally I adore those precise, pirloesqe passes, activating our champions... Chiellini and Legrottaglie mostly, but he provides also those deadly through-balls bursting the defence and giving Buffon so much needed touches, especially in the early periods of game. So he's quite useful as we can see, however, my favourite is his secret weapon, as some Ultras say, the stealth mode. Damn, look at our opponents faces, when he's acting like a f*cking F-117 Nighthawk!
oh shit

Yeah that totally proves why hes a "retard". Just because he "failed" at juve he turns out to be a retard. This is so logical, my bad.

Definetly Corluka over Ivanovic. Younger and not to mention more proven and experienced. I haven't seen Ivanovic play so I won't go as far as to claim Corluka is better, but he probably is. I can't believe City are selling him, easily one of the top RB in the world.
Vlatko,

As any knowledgeable Manchester City fan would tell you, their club is currently beached on the rocks of cash poverty. Towards the end of last season their Chief executive John Wardle left ubrubptly and unexpectedly. As a corollary, some players wages were not paid on time.

As we know the 'owner', Dr Thaksin Shinawatra is currently on trial in Thailand on corruption charges. If found guilty, he faces a possible senrence of 13 years imprisonment.

In the meantime, Thaksin's reported financial largesse of over £1bn (€1.22m) is frozen and as a result the manager at the club Mark Hughes has no funds to play around with at all. The Tal Ben Haim deal completed last week is on an instalment basis. Considering the 'undisclosed' fee to Chelsea (reported to be in the region of £5m) has to be done 'on the drip' pergaps gives a clue as to why Corluka is being sacrificed. They need the cash and they need it badly. Additionally, Modric has probably spoken to Ramos and the result is that Spurs will probably get the player at a knock down price of around £11.5m, against a true worth of circa £16m.

The club is on the verge of losing players like Micah Richards, Elano, Martin Petrov and Richard Dunne in addition to Vedran Corluka.

If Milan are serious about gettin him, we wont be able to compete with them imo because there is more playtime there now and for the future. All milan have of note is Nesta (always injured), Kaladze and Maldini (40) so for a guy ruuning away from the bench, milan would be the place to go

agreed. Also, i don't know if a bidding war against anyone (especially milan) is of any use for us. I mean if milan are willing to pay 10+ million for him, then we should pull back. I don't see all these problems in our defensive row; Chiellini is set, and for the other CB-position we have Mellberg, legro and knezevic. I think one of them can and will come to surface as a really good CB. On LB, we have an ever improving Molinaro and a promising de ceglie, who's doing very well at the olympics/azzurrini-squad. In an extreme situation, Chiellini could move to LB also. The only problem i see really is the RB-position; Zebina is not constant, and often looses the ball going forward, but still he has A LOT of serie-a experience. And grygera is decent in defending and also in going forward.
I know we don't have a really world-class defending row (except chiellini) but i'm not so sure someone like ivanovic would change much about that. He could be an improvement on RB, but it's a gamble, and for 10+ million, i don't think it's a wise gamble to do.

Is all this serious or you're just assuming that this what will happen?

Milan: blitz per Ivanovic

"I rossoneri hanno già il sì del giocatore del Chelsea..."

gazzetta.it

_______

Bye Bye,Branislav.
Gazzetta again :(
Every single player wants Milan and says YES to Milan according to them.
It's possible that Ivanovic indeed accepted a transfer to Milan but they way Gazzetta are presenting things one would think that everyone's dying to play for Milan and only Milan.

So, according to them Braida and Naletelic went to London on Wednesday to negotiate the deal with Chelsea, and Ivanovic agreed to join Milan.
Now they are only waiting for Chelsea's response and Chelsea representetives told Milan that they will give them an answer on Monday.

Agree, gazzetta really sucks big time. When I was in Italy I always bought the Gazzetta to stay up to date but after one week Ronaldinho on the front cover,I decided to buy Tuttosport(which isn't better, but writes way more about Juve).

Do you think the board intentionally won't buy a young and talented defender this year because they want Criscito to take over the place of let's say Legrottaglie next year or the year after?

In this case no.
Ivanovic is a RB that also plays CB, while Criscito is a LB that plays CB. Since we don't have a sure starter on LB and RB one of them could easily play on the flanks while the other in the center. Ivanovic doesn't exclude Criscito, and vice-versa, and it's stupid and not logical if Secco and co. won't buy Ivanovic just because they count on Criscito.

Oh, and if a bidding war starts between us and Milan we really shouldn't give up just like that. It was different with Flamini because he was a star already and Milan were prepared to pay him extra high wages.
Ivanovic won't ask for very high wages and whatever Milan offers (unless they give him some funny 4m per year) we can match that. We should show some teeth finally and show Milan that they can't steal our transfer targets.
