How many of you have actually watched Ivanovic play on a consistent basis?
I've watched 3 games for him with lokomotiv and 4 games for him in the european U-21 championship two years ago and i think he was the best defender in that tournament. In a club like juve am certain that he'll develop even more and be one of the best defenders in europe in 2-3 years time....

I'm all for us to buy him,BUT the question coming up is who will play?!

Probably Chiellini-Mellberg will be the starters.

there is also Legro,Andrade,Knezevic and now Ivanovic?

Even if Mellberg will play RB,then we'll have 3 RB's...and still 5 CB's...

i say it's way too much, and not healthy situation.

unless someone is sold....

Ivanovic Set To Net Profit For Chelsea

Branislav Ivanovic is set to net Chelsea a £3 million profit by moving to Juventus, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Serbian defender has yet to feature in the Chelsea first team, despite having joined the club for £9 million from Lokomotiv Moskow in January.

The 24-year-old chose to move to Stamford Bridge in spite of interest from Milan, Inter, Juventus and Manchester United. However, in his first six months at the club, Ivanovic has played only for the reserve side.

Ivanovic was lacking match practice in January, Russia’s off season, and has subsequently failed to dislodge John Terry Ricardo Carvalho or Alex from the first team reckoning.

Despite his lack of football, Ivanovic is the subject of renewed interest from Claudio Ranieri’s side, who is said to be preparing to test the resolve of his former team with a £12 million bid for the Serbian.

Juventus have already completed the signings of two defenders this summer; Olof Mellberg has arrived from Aston Villa and Dario Knezevic has left relegated Livorno in order to link up with Ranieri’s side.

Does it make sense to get another CB when we got Knezevic and Melberg recently, also why to pay 3 mil. extra for a player who did not play single game in EPL after good spell in Lokomotiv.

Honestly, i dont have any objections, he is young and good player but it doesnt makes sense as yet to me..

Apparently Knezevic was bought as a backup.

Oh yeah and Brazo is there, why the hell so many defenders?!

Instead of going for LB,we linked to another CB when we have 5 already.
Makes no sense.

I hope it's BS,or we going to sell someone...

Chiellini could play leftback, that is his position he played in Capelo's time.
And Del Piero could sit on the bench because that's the position he played in Capello's time ?

Seriously, i think we should add a new rule saying that mentioning Chiellini and LB in the same sentence is a bannable offense.
The guy is born to be a CB, why would anyone want him at LB ?

Because we do not have a left back... You got to be honest Capello won two scudeto in row... If Ranieri is able to win one scudeto then we gonna listen to him...

Zebina is getting older and older... I really like him he is good in right back position I've never seen him playing left back...
