perhaps we are moving Chiellini back to LB?

It could be this:

Zebina--Melberg--Ivanovic--Chiellini.

which is not bad at all.
I am almost certain that we will never see Chiellni at LB again unless our back for resourses are spread very very thin and by that I mean both Molinaro and De Ceglie are out and possibly Grygera and Sali too

You guys are like girls before period, so easy to get excited.
Why did we get Knezevic and Melberg also we will not sell Andrade (we can't sell him). We are full on with CB positions , even on RB, as even Sali can play if needed. We need LB more than anything else in our defense.

BTW where is Dule?

Good question about Knezevic. Since Andrade can still play we didn't need another backup. Left back is indeed a priority now.

Dusan is out on vacation I believe.

I dont know, I just think we havent seen the best of Sali. And he hasnt had a fair run last season. Still think he's got the running in his legs. I'm fine with him or Grygera to be honest. Am sure their contributions this term are going to be valuable.

They also claim that we'll give Andrade on loan and Ivanovic will be Andrade's direct replacement.

Btw, they also gave the reason why Ivanovic didn't play for Chelsea. His physical condition was very poor when he joined Chelsea (which is understandable since he just finished his season with Lokomotiv) and later, in the last month of the season, Grant simply didn't want to take any risks with Ivanovic in the important EPL matches and CL semifinal/final.

might as well post the article:

Chelsea to make profit selling Ivanovic
By Darren Lewis 5/07/2008

Chelsea are set to make a profit by selling flop defender Branislav Ivanovic to Juventus - even though he has never played for the Blues.

The 24-year-old Serbian international moved from Lokomotiv Moscow to Stamford Bridge after the Russian side accepted a £9million bid for him in January.

But he was unable to break into the side because of a lack of match fitness caused by the Russian league season being over when Chelsea signed him.

Chelsea beat off competition from the likes of AC Milan, Juventus, Inter and Manchester United for Ivanovic's signature.

But he has been unable to dislodge either Ricardo Carvalho or John Terry - or even Alex - from the Chelsea first-team.

But Juventus boss and former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri believes he can persuade the Londoners to part with the defender and is willing to make a £12m bid - around £3m more than they paid for him.

Should Chelsea refuse then Ranieri will try and take the versatile stopper on loan.

Juventus faced a defensive crisis last term when £7m summer signing Jorge Andrade was ruled out for the season after just four games, while Domenico Criscito was not a good enough replacement.
