by Karen Marie Moning? i've read the Turkish comments, it is some kind of mystery stuff?! probably i'll like it cos' that's my type.. i think you should try Dark Series by Christine Feehan, exciting :klin:..***..
Yep it's Moning and yep mystery but the best I ever read. I will check out Dark series.

Yup. Figured I'd try reading a book about the subjects I'm very interested in at the moment, and see if I can actually commit myself to studying my masters in it. I hope it doesn't end up like my previous attempt at reading a book, i.e. The God Delusion.
I read some of Kant's philosophy when I was doing my degree. Interesting stuff. Not sure I would do an entire masters on it but good luck.

People still read books? Woah.

*Laughs* Yes, we're probably a dying breed but we do. There is nothing like the joy of reading a good book!

Ps. Guys getting a Kindle was one of the best things I ever did, so if you don't have one I suggest you get one. And you're talking to one of the most die-hard, insist on real paper fanatics you could possibly get.

Drunkenness provides some interesting insight while reading. A lot of other things as well.
It also leads me to forget things very easily. I wanna take this seriously, so wanna put a sincere effort into this.

Hey Risa. I'm reading these books to get an idea of what reading philosophy is gonna be like. I wanna do my masters in philosophy, but I'm not sure if i want to commit myself to it. Its been years since I've read books, let alone ones on this subject matter, and i wanna see if i can take a few months of it before studying it got 2 years.

That's probably the smartest thing D. A masters takes a hell of a lot of commitment. There are some days when coming closer to exam that I practically live at school and the last thing you want to do is be stuck in is something you really hate. I hope you get through with whatever decision you make.

Been somewhat interested in a Kindle for a while now but haven't bothered as they don't offer the new Fire one internationally.

Can't see it ever replacing the feel of an actual book in my hands though. Too old too change, probably.

Thanks. For the past year, I've become very interested in such topics. And my initial interest in technology and computers is slowly dying. It's almost like a virus. I hope this experiment leads me somewhere.

That's okay, I'm a reader, too.

Honestly I recommend the Kindle or Kindle Touch over the Kindle Fire for one reason. LCD screen; it's a bitch on the eyes. I can't imagine myself reading on my Ipad or laptop for that reason. My Kindle however makes everything better as the ink screen is like reading an actual book and it never hurts my eyes.

Oh and I was the same stubborn, "book in my hands," person too.

It's always great to have a passion. As of right now I am just getting a Masters for getting a Masters sake. I wish I had more drive!

I try to maintain atleast two books a week, its pretty fun imaginative distraction, naturally much easier doing it that regurarly with book series as I do, but still. Prolly wouldnt be that regular if I didnt have the travel time I have to work (quite some idle time to kill).

Right now started reading AmaZulu, by Walton Golightly, of my favourite historical figure Shaka Zulu naturally. Colour me shocked when I saw this available in ze book store.
