Category: General

Valeri Bojinov is increasingly unlikely to stay at Juventus past this month after his agent dubbed it “an offence” he was left on the bench.

“Can Bojinov be considered the fifth-choice striker at a Serie B club, even if the side is called Juventus? I think this is an offence to football,” snapped Gennaro Palomba on Radio GRT.

The Bulgarian has been a magnet for controversy during his career, frozen out of the Fiorentina squad for demanding a move to Inter and repeatedly protesting at his lack of first team football in Turin.

“In good and bad, this boy is destined to hit the headlines. At the moment he is a Juventus player and will be until the option to make his move from Fiorentina permanent expires on June 20.”

He has been heavily linked with Torino, Livorno, Milan or an overseas transfer during the January window.

“We just want some clarification,” added the agent. “We wish to understand the plans of the two clubs and what the situation really is.”

Once again, Bojinov was left out of the starting XI for today’s Trofeo Berlusconi against Milan at San Siro, which kicked off at 16.00 UK time.

“Valeri is relaxed and giving his best in training, so he’s not been psychologically hit by this whole affair. I hope we can meet with Juventus next week, as we are only interested in knowing what their plans are.”

Meanwhile, Livorno have sold Tomas Danilevicius to Serie B outfit Bologna in a co-ownership deal.

The Lithuanian international started his Italian career in 2002-03 and has also played for Avellino, finding fame with a goal for his country against the Azzurri in a recent Euro 2008 qualifier.

Source: Football Italia

Dammit, it's just DD believes that Boji have to be 2nd DP, and Zala 2nd Trez. And as Del Piero is irreplacable Boji gets no chance.

DD should be more open minded lol

Bojinov came here thinking he would be the 'savior' and would be a permanent starter and would shine in the light of the media.
If we had sold Trezeguet i say Boji would be playing most

To me I never saw Bojinov being a starter at Juve unless Trezeguet or Del Perio are injuried. I think the reason he is there becuase if Trezeguet decided to leave he would be filling that role. Bojinov is a great player but he has to give Juve more time becuase his time will come where Juve will need him the most.

I wouldn't start Boji before DP or Trez, that's for sure. I would even start Palladino before him. That's just how it is. I would have rather had Mutu for that matter...

simple problem imo, he had the misconception that he would come here and get a starting position straight away only cuz this team has been demoted and most of the stars have been sold.
well he was wrong. and i agree with swag, mutu should've been here in this team instead of Boji

I'd be pissed if my coach started Zalayeta over me. I think Secco took Bojinov just because he was free for a year. They would have never sold Mutu if they didn't have money problems. I guess selling the other to Inter, Barca and Real wasn't enough. Just wait and see we lose Boji/Zala for Saviola or Pizarro(both free).
