Bojinov joins Juventus Saturday 8 July, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus have officially signed Fiorentina striker Valeri Bojinov in exchange for Adrian Mutu, although it is only a loan deal for the moment.

Talk of a swop had been in the air for some time, but the moves were completed this evening, announced the Stadio Artemio Franchi side.

Former Chelsea forward Mutu has been bought in a permanent switch, while Bojinov joins Juventus on loan with an option to buy 50 per cent of his contract at the end of the season.

Bulgarian hitman Bojinov was signed from Lecce in January 2005, but failed to make his mark at the club with just eight Serie A goals in 36 appearances.

He first shot to fame at Lecce, where he became the youngest ever Serie A player, making his debut at the age of 15 in a 3-1 defeat to Brescia on January 27, 2002

This is about Bojinov and mutu guys. :D

Anyway it's a freakin' loan with rights to buy one half for 4 or 6m €. If we want the other one and plays well this year then he'll cost even more. :(
This is an amazing deal ...... for the viola.

I hope this isnt the sign of things to come with regards to our transfer activities. I guess we have to come terms with the lack of "moggi" magic when it comes to transfers.

U said it man he so suited the Juventus shirt and he was loyal.

I was so looking forward to the new season because I really had a feeling are new manager would of played him in his natural posistion.

Though Il still support him and hope he does well in Florence.

Forza Mutu for his great services.

I wonder though, was he happy to leave or rather was the club happy to accept the offer.
you wud have to be moratti to accept this stupid deal to pay 7 million for a loan, with option of just 50% plus a good player?

wot r u doing secco? ur spose to be making a profit! that was a huge loss, i wudnt even pay 7 mill for bojinov outright.
