I understand your point, and I'm not saying it was a fair decision, regarding plusvalenza. I dont have info to evaluate this. All I'm saying it was blatant enough to catch the eyes. Also, not every Club has gone public in the stock Market - that comes with more accounting and transparency responsibility. The Arthur - Pjanic deal was too much. The Sturaro deal was pathetic.

So they did set themselves for the coup from the "system". My point is this isnt an artificially conveived way to punish the Club. Once again, they gave motive.

About calciopoli, even without match fixing, there was help from referees. I vaguely remember games that Juve was drawing or losing, and the added time was crazy. Or vice versa. As I said, there was a clear perception that there were indeed some sort of regular and unusual help from referees. Thats is as far as Im concerned.

Again, Im not saying calciopoli was fair. Its both factors: the Club setting itself up and not defending itself, and the corrupt system.

They did cheat, in some sense. Both Club and the "system" are solidary responsible for this. Both 100% responsible. It isnt mutuallly exclusive.. therefore I must say, none of this would happen if it wasnt for the Club itself.

No offense, mate, but this is a Bonucci type of statement that Kean has 50% of the blame for being racially abused by a bunch of people...

The reaction from Prem fans with the ESL announcement on social media and other platforms was the main reason it never went further and eventually collapsed.

Additionally, there was also support from mainstream media like Sky, BT that fueled the overwhelmingly negative reaction towards ESL and that hugely contributed to it's eventual demise.

Even if there's a big movement on social media from Juventus fans, the mainstream Italian media are not going to support that.

The most likely outcome that could happen is DAZN cancels it's contract with Serie A and takes it's business elsewhere.
Thats the point. If they cancel the contract all clubs will take a hit. Broadcasting rights for Serie a will plummet. Our fans that want to offset this loss for Juve, will pay for our channel, buy some merchandise, etc.

FIGC prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné is ready to ask for documents of the alleged false accounting committed by Napoli for the purchase of Victor Osimhen from Lille. Also other Juve transfer deals apart from those under investigation during last three years are being looked at again. [La Repubblica]

This is where it becomes the responsibility of mainstream Italian media to not denigrate it's league just to pull a single club down.

If not for your Gary Neville's, Carragher's etc actively voicing out against ESL, the oppose ESL movement wouldn't have been as big as it eventually turned out to be.

I remember when Barca were charged with tax fraud with regards to the Neymar transfer. They were slapped with just a fine of €5.5M and they went on to win a treble and multiple league titles with him. Had it been JJ, we sure would've been relegated for the same 'offense'.

I think we have to come the acceptance that football is very a dirty sport as it involves way too much money and some teams are just better at covering their tracks than the rest. You would be stupid to use morals and ethics in an environment like this. This is why I have no problem to see this club sold to Sheikhs.

Yep. He’ll look at it and say “nothing to see here” and it will be done and dusted.

Just to piggyback on what you are saying, I think most know that corruption and malpractice have been a staple of humanity since the onset of civilization. Therefore, romanticizing contemporary football, this version of football, is asinine at best. It is futile to cling onto remnants of the past, and let's not forget that those billionaire industrialists owning clubs were not exactly unblemished - yes, they may have possessed more class, culture, and charisma, but they are/were probably just as filthy, if not more so, than the uncouth brazen billionaire Arab Sheikhs.

Do they (FIGC etc) still not get it? Who in their right mind is going to invest in Italian football, be it TV rights, sponsors, football tourism, UEFA co-efficient etc>

- - - Updated - - -

FIGC etc can enjoy all the money (or lack of) they get when Napoli vs Lazio is the highlight of the year
Man... Cons. Theories are not meant for immediate effect.
It is can be upto 100 years of planning.
