I'm fine with one year extension. I actually like, yes like, when he played like last game, close to his last WC role. Swaping from a LCM in defense to a close LM role in attack. He's really benefited from being next to the line with less options to think and pressing from rivals so he's to limit himself to just one or two options all the time

Matuidi: 'Juve extended my contract'

Blaise Matuidi has announced that Juventus decided to trigger the option to extend his contract with another year at the Allianz Stadium.
The World Cup winner’s contract with the Old Lady was set to expire after this year, but now the 32-year-old has revealed that he will stay in Turin for another season.
“In my contract there was an option for another year,” he told Sport24. “Juventus have exercised it. I never had any doubts about it. I feel the trust of everyone.
The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder came to the Bianconeri in august 2017 and has played 118 games so far for the reigning champions.
He has scored eight times and assisted seven in the process and is capped 84 times by the French national side, currently looking to claim a spot in Didier Deschamp’s Euro 2020 squad.

what would tuz say if the club ignored the option and let blaise walk free in the summer?

he either stays for an other year as a depth option, or he's sold for chips in the summer. either way, i'm fine with that.

As if with him leaving any problem will be solved. He’s not like Sarri.

what is the point in resigning him? i could see it as cover if we were short on CMs but we arent. we really arent short on numbers just quality/ type of CM.

resigning him is pointless waste of money unless we plan on playing him alot and thats even more worrying.
