he has 14 goals(2 penalties)

is this guy consistent?
I can't judge his consistency actually, but depending on the few watches I've watched to him so far, I think that he is a good striker who will mature a lot in the next couple of years, in my opinion.

Fiorentina Up For Bianchi If Toni Goes To Juventus?

The Viola are very interested in the Reggina young striker as Toni appears to be on the move with Juventus planning a swoop for the towering Azzurri striker...

Pantaleo Corvino, Fiorentina’s sporting director, could be ready to table an offer for Reggina’s Rolando Bianchi, who’s already scored 15 goals in the current Serie A campaign.

Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport is pretty sure about that, as Corvino and Reggina officials have already met to talk about a possible deal.

That should mean Toni is moving closer to Juventus, as recently tipped by many media reports.

The Bianchi price tag is quite high, though. Reggina president Lilo Foti wants 12 million Euros for his best player, for whom last summer he paid 3.5 million Euros to Atalanta.

Even without Toni, Fiorentina have got quite an impressive striking force, featuring Mutu, Pazzini (last week’s 'New Wembley’ hero with his now-famous hat trick against England Under-21s) and Bojinov (on loan to Juventus, but due to be back to Florence in a couple of months time).

The fact that Bianchi and Toni have got the same agent, Tullio Tinti, could ease the two deals, even though Milan and Inter are keeping an eye on Bianchi as well.

If Trezeguet decides to leave, I see Toni the appropriate replacement to our french striker. Besides being one of Europe's best headers, consistent and usually eager to score, Toni is pretty experienced in the Serie A.

But, what about buying Bianchi as well if we decide to sell Zalayeta? :D

Juve have Bianchi option Monday 2 April, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus have an option to buy Reggina striker Rolando Bianchi at the end of the season.

The Bianconeri are looking for a new striker to replace David Trezeguet, who seems set to leave Turin in June.

They have reportedly targeted Luca Toni (pictured) as their first choice, but the Viola hitman wants to play in the Champions League, meaning Inter and Bayern Munich are thought to be his preferred destinations.

If the plan to bring Toni to the Stadio Olimpico were to fail the Old Lady could finalise a deal with Bianchi, who has scored 15 Serie A goals this season.

The Amaranto bomber is one of the most promising young players on the market and Juve have allegedly already offered £5.7m to the southern club to start negotiations.

President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has confirmed the club’s interest in Toni, while he also stated that the Bianconeri will do all they can to keep Gianluigi Buffon in Turin.

“We are obviously interested in Toni, but we will respect Fiorentina,” explained the Juve chief, who has already secured the signatures of Zdenek Grygera and Hasan Salihamidzic.

“I cannot interpret his thoughts as to the Champions League, but I believe that playing for Juventus is definitely an important professional objective.”

“As to Buffon, we feel he is a Juventino and we will discuss his contract. We are willing to do all that is needed to keep him here,” concluded Cobolli Gigli.

seems worth it, 15 goals is pretty good for the club he is playing for
Strikers tend to overperform for mid-table/relegation zone clubs. He's the player the whole team plays for, whereas in Juve you have a number of players that can take matters into their own hands and get the job done. I'm not saying he's not good or anything, but lets not get carried away and buy ourselves a attacking Legrotaglie.

We have Palla who's young. Boji if he stays and Hunter if its true that we sealed his deal...all are better options
