Vicky what do u mean? What did Serge say?

Okay basically, you can either make single or multi bets.

If you bet on a single match, you only need to win that match and you get a return based on odds the bookies set. e.g. If i bet $1 and the odds are 2.00, I'll get $2 back.

Multi bets are when you bet for more than one result to happen. You need all of them to happen if u wanna win. The catch is that the odds multiply when you do this.

e.g. if i bet on 2 matches, and the odds are $2 and $3, I'll get $6 if i put down a multiplier bet for that match

A double is when u bet on 2 results, a treble is 3, etc.

What i was basically saying is that i chose 4 results and made bets based on the combinations.

So if i have match 1,2,3,4

I'll bet on 1 and 2, 1 and 3, 1 and 4, etc.

I got 3 of the results correct, so i won 3 out of 4 singles, 3 out of 6 doubles and 1 out of 3 trebles

I hope that helps ;)

Haven't you seen the episode where Lisa gets all the (US) football results right? :D

But I think you should keep visiting the football threads; knowing this place, it won't be about football half the time anyway ;)

Umm yeah I do it pretty regularly, but it's not the driving force of my life or anything. I bet a couple of bucks spare change a week, and generate a healthy profit without being consumed by greed :)

Lisa Simpson ;)

Haha i guess it was inevitable that you'd have to get involved with football to a certain degree being on this forum :)

Here are my bets for some CL and Uefa cup action:

Note the game circled in red: I'm either very stupid or very smart (good thing nobody read this before I edited it :D )

I let this thread die because i've been having a couple of bad weeks and i'm bitter :down:

This week though, I had a handy multiplier on Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal, Charlton and Fulham :D

Zlatan, is that one multiplier bet?

If so, you really need to re-think your betting strategy. Have some backup bets, combinations of the matches you've chosen to fall back on. e.g. if one of those matches doesn't go your way, you get 0. If you have an extra (slightly smaller) multiplier with some of the risky bets taken out, at least you'll get some money

If i dont get one right I wont get any money :D

But on the other hand, if I do win...

Anyways, it was very painful indeed to bet against our beloved team, but the odds were just too good to pass up on... :sigh:

damn :( bad luck mate, but keep your head up, you'll get back into it. And don't worry, i know a guy who bet 3000 pounds on Barcelona :eek:

I don't mean to rub it in your face, but i had a good week, with several combinations with Valencia, Roma, Inter, Newcastle and PSV :greedy:

This week, i've got a lot of teams in mind, including:

Birmingham - Leeds
Chelsea - Wolves <--- banker
Man City - Fulham

Coventry - Reading
Norwich - Stoke
Forest - Crewe
Sunderland - Derby
Wallsall - Millwall
West Ham - Gillingham
Wimbledon - Ipswich

Leverkusen - Hertha
Bayern - Monchengladbach
Freiburg - Koln <-- gamble

Hannover - Borussia Dortmund OVER 2.5 goals
Arsenal - Man Utd OVER 2.5 goals
Chelsea - Wolves OVER 2.5 goals

And just a few exact score bets:

Birmingham 1-1 Leeds (to cover if Birm don't win)
Charlton 1-2 Aston Villa
Everton 1-0 Middlesborough
Manchester City 2-1 Fulham

I'm using several combinations of the above matches, most of them are just low odds home wins, i haven't got a good feeling about the away gambles this week.

I'm not touching Ars-Man in terms of a result. This is one of those matches with the derby atmosphere, where form gets thrown out the window. Just look at Juve-Inter. We were playing great at that stage of the season, and Inter won 3-1... and we all know what happened after that :irritate:

well i thought Man U is Man U and Arsenal would be stupid to risk it by going for a win.

Birmingham - Leeds
;) A bit of a scare, with Leeds going ahead early in the game, but Birmingham were a pretty sure bet, they're untouchable at home.
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Chelsea - Wolves <--- banker
;) Chelski had me sweating for a bit, letting Wolves take the lead twice in the match. Luckily though, Jimmy got me a hat-trick in the last 10 minutes :)
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Man City - Fulham
:( Disappointing goalless draw
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Coventry - Reading
:(

Norwich - Stoke

Wimbledon - Ipswich
;)
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Leverkusen - Hertha
;) 4-1 :thumb:
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Bayern - Monchengladbach
;) Great performance from Bayern, 5-2. Hargreaves scored :extatic:
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Freiburg - Koln <-- gamble
:( I knew i should have just gone with my instinct. Oh well, at least i knew at the start that it was a risky bet.
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Hannover - Borussia Dortmund OVER 2.5 goals
I can't believe I picked the only match in the competition that didn't end OVER :fero:
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Arsenal - Man Utd OVER 2.5 goals
Pending
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Chelsea - Wolves OVER 2.5 goals
;)
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Birmingham 1-1 Leeds (to cover if Birm don't win)
Since it was just a small bet to cover, the Birmingham victory more than makes up for it ;)
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Charlton 1-2 Aston Villa
;):extatic: when Charlton took the lead, i didn't have much hope in Villa, but they're playing great these days
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Everton 1-0 Middlesborough
I was quite pleased when Radzinski gave Everton the lead on 78 minutes. Quite gutted when Boro equalised 5 minutes later :(
++ [ originally posted by Graham ] ++
Manchester City 2-1 Fulham
:(

I think my friend made quite a lot by buying the total goals for Chelsea/Wolves :)

You mean they predicted seven goals!? :eek:

I'm hoping you mean he bet on over 2.5 or something, right?
