I grew out of liking songs because they were "cool" ages ago, as you've probably guessed I like to take each song on its merits and I happen to like that one.

The video is embarassingly camp tho :D

mmh lets see poetic almost mystic, tantalizing solos, medieval theme, both accoustic and electric , biggest-selling sheet music in the history of rock(educated choice anyone?), and a bustle in your hedgerow. aah my lack of eloquence fails to do this song justice.

Just because the lyrics don't make sense dosen't mean they are mystic.

It's a decent song, but it's overrated and overplayed. I hope I never hear it again but I will..

the best will be hailed and celebrated, but I dont blame you Radio is evil. As far as the lyrics not making sense this is rocking roll we're talking about if poetry were straight forward and "making sense" it'll be awfully dry unimaginitive not to mention unpoetic lol

...Back when rock and roll meant too much hair, too many drugs, and too much Tolkien.

If I had to pick a song? Alex Chilton by The Replacements -- part the song, part of the tribute to one of the coolest guys in rock and roll of all time.

hence the Rocking Roll lol but elements of freedom(hair), revel (drugs), and lotsa imagination (tolkien) have and will define that scene.

My favorite has to be

Dry County (by Bon Jovi)

Its guitar solo is by far the most impressive to me. I play guitar, and look for solos in all my favorie songs. That one is the only solo I can never get tired of. Love it!
