At last noone can take away this from Del Piero: He is the best PK Taker on this planet. I have only seen him miss once against Chievo in that foggy match 02/03. It hit the post or the crossbar, dont remember.
His skill is sick. when he steps up, even if its in a big-time final, im not worried at all. He is 99.9% guarantee of goal on PK.

FORZA ALEX!!

(Also Henry is one heck of a PK taker.)
Have you ever seen Tomas Brolin miss one single penalty? He must have the best % in the world.

Del Piero missed against Inter in the 1998/1999 season as well, but made up for it in the rebound. And I think we all remember his miss against Deportivo (apart from DDP that is). Doesn't change the fact he's one of the best though.

And how many did he take?:D...its an important factor if you want to find the ration you know?:p
...Actually, I'm not sure about current situation If I don't check, last year at some point he had scored 41... He's percentage is certainly pretty nice, over 80% is always a good ration.

Won't bother to check... Anyway, that's excellent ratio compared to that he shot so many. Platini took 12 in Serie A and scored only 10 times from those.

This topic should be backed up with statistics.

About Ronaldinho, I have seen him missing some penalties b4, so he certainly aren't the best ard. Sometimes he overpowers his strength and blasts the ball up.

Pirlo ,Del Piero .

I didn't watch so often Nedved as a PK taker, but his kick (if someone remembers),against inter in Italian Cup 2003/2004 was brilliant,he kick the ball right in the up right corner f the goal, and shot was so powerful and precise.

Shearer was also great PK taker.

Chuilavert ,the keeper that didn't miss it.His PKs and FKs were interesting.
erm Pirlo also missed quite a few last season alone.
